heh. well, he can try and stop talking to you, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop talking to him.

that’s the best revenge on passive aggressive folks — serve up that confrontation they’re trying to avoid.

I like the use of “thing” in “1 shower thing” and “1 broom thing” as well as “1 nails for hanging.”

For whiteboards, I suggest switching out the dry eraser for a permant marker. They’ll either spend lot of elbow grease and alcohol removing it, they’ll throw out the board, or they’ll leave the passive aggressive note up for all to see forever.

getting necessities for apartment = $30
    individual shares = $10
having a dick for a roommate = priceless

I insist on direct verbal communication thingies when there’s money involved.

It’s the principal of the thingy you know.

This person should at least provide a receipt for these seemingly overly priced items.

Rajboto makes an excellent point. That’s got to be a tense situation living with someone who can’t even be bothered to speak. How are you going to just communicate via whiteboard? That is just nonsense.

Could be worse. My passive-aggressive-pscho roommate used to leave messages on my answering machine (from his room, ten feet from my door) rather than talk to me.

@ newhoosier: LOLOLOL- imagine the face when they try to erase it… But they’d probably use alcohol (aka “cleaning thing”) to erase it in the end, buy a new whiteboard marker and leave a note saying “PLEASE do not change the marker things!!!!”

This is how our dysfunctional office communicates. You never see anyone writing on the board, but somehow new messages that everyone ignores pop up every few days. I think we have elves.

    an observation…

    10×3=30

    there are four items listed…

    10×4=40

    if each trashcan was $10…

there were five items at $10 per each…

    10×5=50…

    just a thought…

    @creepykatia
I think that $10.00 is how much each roommate owes, not how much each item costs.

I was puzzled by how it added up to $30, too, because at first I thought it was in a college dorm and it was listing the charges from ResLife for fucking up “the shower thing” or whatever.

i had a whiteboard roommate as well. she continued to communicate via whiteboard for four months, until, one day, i arrived home and she had moved out and was trying to figure out how to turn on the vacuum…so, she was forced to open her mouth and ask since she had *tear* packed the whiteboard….sooo funny.

And so you sternly held up your hand and said, “Please. Use the whiteboard!”

      (love the *tear* part)
