One person is always going to be bothered by something that never bothers their roommate. Fortunately now I am living with a significant other and I can ask him point blank to take out the garbage and walk the dog while he's at it. He does not mind as he is the man of my dreams. By the way, this is my new favorite blog; never have I loved a blog so much that I felt compelled to read all the comments on each entry. The best part is that although the subject is aggression, the commenters are remarkably polite to one another. Team Commenters!
