I am baffled that anyone finds it acceptable for anyone to fall asleep during any job when you are supposed to be doing said job (as opposed to someone napping during a legitimate break period). I mean, really? People on here find it kosher to fall asleep while on the job? Wow.

…or, for that matter, anyone who uses the noun “education” as a verb, or spells “allowed” without an “e”, or (previous poster) does not know that “your” does not mean “you are” — that’s “you’re” — and that “laying around” really means nothing like “lying around,” despite how popular it’s gotten over the past few years (due, probably, to teachers like you… full circle).

Also… am I the only one who recognizes how wonderfully considerate this school is for offering naptime service for parents? Surely these teachers should recognize that sleeping adults are just as much in need of their supervision. I mean, what if they have a bad dream? I’m just saying…

Of course, if they are actually LAYING something on a floor with a pillow, I think that would almost CERTAINLY be frowned upon by parents entering the room (not to mention against state regulations for the supervision of children).

I must commend this astute administrator for LAYING down the law about this sort of thing.

For Pete (and Christ, and Laura, and Billy-Bob)’s sake, if you are napping around kids you WILL WAKE UP when THEY wake up. They have no concept of being quiet when others are trying to sleep.

I say have a designated spot for the teachers if they find themselves to be a bit tired RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of everything. I don’t know about you, but falling asleep and STAYING asleep around kids is impossible when they are up and trying to cause trouble of any kind.
