That is hilarious! And scary!

I imagine this Glora person wearing sunglasses and speaking with an Italian mob boss accent, maybe beating the kid with a golf club after every exclamation point. Maybe busting out her nines and popping the listener in the kneecap every time the text turns red!

“Where’s my fucking money!!!!? Don’t play with me man! You have money for all that TYCO! Don’t play that shit with me! Where’s my fucking money?! Where’s the money, man?! ”

Then she holds the listener underwater for a few seconds until they splutter and choke.

Or maybe I’ve been watching too many episodes of the Sopranos. Seriously though, excessive. You can be civil and single out a player without getting so threatening.

I see a lot of people on here saying the people who owe money may have fallen on hard financial times.

If the money was for fundraising, and they don’t have it, then they must have spent it, which means they spent $104 that DIDN’T BELONG TO THEM.

Now when the rightful owners of the $104 come asking for it, hell yeah they’re going to be pissed off.

Well, the point about it being directed towards the managers was in regard to “shaming the kids,” and “teaching them responsibility.”

Like I said, I think the note is pretty crazy, but I could partially understand it if this was the 10th time she was trying to collect the money… and if there’s a bunch of kids (using the theory that this was a merged document type thing), who all owe $104, wouldn’t you kind of be pissed that you’re getting stuck with the debt of a grand plus?

And yeah, she might be in the wrong job, but sometimes, when you’re involved in these things, you just get stuck with the job if no one else will do it.

grey, does it really matter who it is directed towards? It’s the kids who don’t get the trophy in the end. The ends don’t justify the means. I agree the note is crazed, and that’s the bottom line for me. Even though she is a volunteer, she’s in the wrong job.

Someone made a comment that this isn’t teaching the child responsibility… well, I don’t really think it’s the fundraising coordinator’s job to teach other people’s children responsibility… and two, what is not paying your debts teaching your kids? It’s certainly not responsibility.

Again, the tone of the note is a little crazed, but we really don’t know how many times she’s tried to collect from everyone. Was this the first or ninth try?

And another thing, maybe all that yelling (!!!) and no-trophy-for-you-ing isn’t directed towards the kid(s?), but rather the managers/team reps whom she’s trying to collect from?
