See, I don’t think this is a passive aggressive email at all. In fact, it’s quite direct, and plainly stated.

The passive aggressive part comes in during the 10 day wait in which nothing about the futon was communicated. This guy should have been just as direct about his desire for Ben to remove his crap up front as he was after ten days.

I hate pushy apartment mates though. I was helping to move my girlfriend out of her apartment, and her roommate, who was, before this, her best friend, started putting all her belongings from closets and cupboards into bags a full 3 weeks before moving out. They just made a huge pile of stuff for us to move starting 3 weeks ahead of time. While we were tackling the pile, his she-devil (who, I suspect, orchestrated the whole thing, because this isn’t like him) kept telling us of more things in the house that we should move out. Literally 3 weeks until the time we have to vacate, and she had a frigging list.

They also tried to put stuff that wasn’t ours but they didn’t want in the piles of crap in hopes we would dispose of it.

In spite, we took the coffee table. My girlfriend had bought and paid for that table, and we were going to leave it behind as a gift of sorts (along with a lot of other furniture they wanted), but we were so pissed we took it with us. That night, her ex-roommate called up and asked “What are you going to do with the table? Because we went to Ikea and we didn’t find one we liked, we’d like to have that one”. Again, something he never would have done without she-devil.

Tough shit when you’re pushy and demanding, and sacrifice a friendship for kicking her out early in favor of moving in your she-devil and her cronies.
