i used to work at a mcdonalds located right next door to a burger king. we’d all go to bk for our lunch and sit there while wearing our mcd’s uniforms! of course, the bk-ers did the same for us!!

I doubt people are going to run out to their car or have someone stand outside holding their bag(s) every time they go into a new store. I don’t see how it’s rude. Do they not want customers?

What do they expect – that you leave your bags outside to get stolen? What if you’ve been shopping around all day? What are you supposed to do with your bags other than carry them with you?

I bring BK bags to MCD all the time, I happens to like BK and my wife prefer MCD, so I go both places and I dont give a hoot.

The other store is a porn shop whose bags are emblazoned with a giant penis-shaped logo. It’s a safety concern because the elderly female customers in the souvernir store tend to have heart attacks when they see it.

I completely agree, RP. If I ever came across a note like this, I would make it a point of going back to that store with several bags, all from different “competitors”, and leaving them randomly about their store. I might drop a couple of flyers or business cards around, too. Then I’d go up to the cash with their biggest competitor’s bag full of stuff and buy a pack of gum or something small… and pay with a $20 or $50 bill.

I’m in your store, I’m shopping, get the hell off my back. Shopowners can be so friggin’ stupid.

I take the canvas bags I got from Publix into Kroger all the time. I’ve brought shopping bags from one store into a different one. Lots of people do it. They are called malls and shopping centers. Going into multiple stores in one trip is the whole point!

I don’t understand how this is rude at all. I’m coming into your store to spend money. Who cares where I went shopping before then?

Most companies spend money to find out the shopping habits of their customers. This information comes in the door for free and they freak out!
