Ahahah, man I’ve been to that DC store, it is crazy bizarre. I’m sure they have some other weird signs around.
Best purchase from there, the Madame President mug for Clinton, after the election and all. They have souvenirs from all over the world, most of it pretty overpriced.
Such a crazy store. I love Adams Morgan.

That second sign is totally from a store across 18th street from The Diner in Adams Morgan (a DC neighborhood). They stare at you the whole time you’re in there to prevent the theft of their hot commodities, like “Happy New Year 2000!” coffee mugs. Sam is right to report they sell all sorts of shit there, and all at puzzling price points. The thrift store half (broken tchotchkes, old clocks) is ridiculously overpriced, but then they have decent costume jewelry for a steal.

NO decent wages for waiters!
NO respectable health care. (If you count OCH health care.)
How about?…
NO more real estate agents selling our town from under our eyes!
NO more asking people to clean toilets for $2.63 an hour!

ON TOPIC: That store in P-town is the bomb. I enjoyed it immensely. I prefer not to be yelled at by clerks so I ALWAYS refrain from bringing anything edible beyond a Tic-Tac into any retail establishment except for Walmart, because really, who at Walmart cares? Also, I tend to leave my iced coffee on any available surface when I shop, which I’m sure is gross for the peon who is in charge of that stuff. So now I abstain…Team Drink Up or Leave It In the Car.

The sad thing about this is that the owners/managers of these stores posted these idoitic signs because of the idiotic consumers. They got tired of dealing with shit for brains and decided to stoop to their level. I mean personally….if I had to send people out of my store for drinking coffee or eating ice cream when the sign CLEARY states “NO FOOD OR DRINKS” (I would have put beverages, but whatever), I would probably physically assault the 3rd or 4th being to upset me by not paying attention.

No wonder I don’t own a store.

Hang on, I just thought of something. What if I had an inconvenient drink? Like, say, a Super Big Gulp? Or a tea that's still way too hot to sip? Or an orange, a juice-squeezer and a cup?
