the passively rowdy patriot

February 4th, 2008 · 29 comments

nicky in elwood, indiana (a diehard fan of the indianapolis colts) put this sign on her office door last week only to find it defaced by a phantom pats fan each night after she left. needless to say, nicky’s feeling quite vindicated today on behalf of both brothers manning.

    Topical, but boring.

I call shenanigans! Nicky posted her sign deliberately knowing that people would deface it (because it’s human nature) thereby securing her spot in PAN history!

as evil said Topical but dull … I mean … there are ALWAYS going to be bandwagon jumping losers who are going to root for the undefeated team … and those that (rightfully) hate them

The scribblers should have made the sign read:
    D E NY
    your only hope

…but since NY won, perhaps it is better that they didn’t.

On a philosophical note, the buddhist way would be to deny your hopes, so you can reach Nirvana (or in this case, as close to Nirvana as can be had in the NFL.)

Hmmm, handwritten smacktalk. How civilized! It really shows you care when you take the time to put pen to paper.

so, on a totally unrelated note:
has anyone ever noticed the advertising here?
    —->
there’s one in particular for ‘bustedtees’.
i always read it as ‘bustees’. like bustee women or something.

okay then, as you all were.

I always see “bust” first, then think, “wow, that’s kinda racy, but I guess Canada is kinda placed on her…” then I see “ed tees.” My thought process is very messed up by the whole situation.

Well, busty women would have need of a better-fitting tee shirt. It’s nice to see someone’s covering that niche market.

Now, I’m off to Flattee’s to buy myself some non-bustee shirts.

You would think, if you graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan, you’d know you need an apostrophe and fewer capitalizations in “Mannings A Baby”. Guess Tom Brady missed class that day. Good thing he probably got “help” taking his exams.

Not that I mean to imply that anyone playing for the Patriots would cheat or anything.

Eli IS a baby… such a PRECIOUS little QB. I just want to pinch his cheeks and tell him the commentators are just big meanies.

Isn’t it more heart warming too half bad grammar on a passive aggressive note when its pointed out, therefore creating a miniature passive-aggressive note inside the original.

If you look back to the note about the guy doing something dirty with a dog, and a little ways down Andy posted a hilarious joke. None of my prude friends got it. Does anybody know what i’m talking about?

Accually there are 4 manning Bros…the older one had promise, but hurt his knee in college, and the younger one is in college now and has been said to be better than all of them.

Uh oh, world!! Look out for the NEW Manning brother!! Maybe Peyton will be the suckiest of ALL the Mannings!!

His mom was prom queen in high school. It’s just a family of overachievment I would hate to be in it.

Well…I am sorry to say, I was wrong. There is no younger Manning Bro. I was misinformed by a pretentous asshole who aparantly “knows it all.” I usually check my facts before spouting them off, but the guy I got my info from was sure. damn him!

The older (Cooper) played wide receiver in high school but was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, which was surgically corrected but left him unable to play football . Some folks say he had more talent than either Eli or Peyton.

And you boys say that girls know nothing about football!
