It’s really fascinating — even if the first few minutes are kind of slow (the first four minutes are an excerpt from an Eastern-based religious lecture).

Whether you agree with/believe all of it or not, it will most certainly make you think. It throws a completely different light on a lot of historical events. Its whole purpose (at least according to the filmmaker) is to startle people into questioning things instead of just accepting whatever they are told.

BTW I am American and happy about it, so I don’t even want to hear any “you hate America” accusations for posting this link. Truly patriotic Americans have a responsibility to hold our government accountable — and our government sometimes isn’t truly representative, considering that it appears people can and do “buy” elections.

Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I swear not to post anything else unless I’m trying to be funny. Or trying to look funny. Or maybe trying to smell funny.

actually, joe montgomery was hurrying to get to the joint for his daily dose of platanos when he was struck by a guy named anglo who, after failing to get ‘all his friends’ to eschew eating at the restaurant, resorted to drunkenly using his car to divert prospective customers before they could arrive for their delicious 3-piece chicken plates. ke lastima!

thank you, I needed to laugh the way your comment made me laugh. My first thought on the vomit comment was wtf would I have to eat to make my vomit that color. I’m not a huge green fan, especially that shade but good googly it’s a restaurant and it gets peoples’ attention.

The beautiful thing about this is, RIGHT NEXT DOOR to Sol Food is Mambo’s Cafe, which is a brilliant shade of Orange that is far more heinous than the selected green shades utilized by Sol Food.

While Sol Food is not somewhere I like very much, my entire family and friends choose to go there frequently. However i would not keep my patronage from an establishment based exclusively on the hue of paint used on their building. I save that privledge for the assholes that use their money to fund pro-life terrorists or racist stupid behavior such as bitching about building colors.

I saw a Puerto Rican restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale this weekend, and although the storefront is normal looking the sign they had hanging under the awning… yep, you guessed it… bright green.

Maybe it’s the national color of Puerto Rican restaurants?

I live a few blocks south of there (Glo) in a recently remodeled 4 unit craftsman turned into a Spanish style with bright yellow stucco and what we call the “Taco Bell Roof”. It;s actually very well done but the neighbors hated it, saying it was to bright (and they are Mexican BTW). Since then all the houses on my street have been re-done and it’s become a really nice block.
