writes an anonymous submitter in houston: “a neighbor in my building put up an obama yard sign on the door of her apartment around the time of the texas primary. when it disappeared, i assumed she took it down herself.” then up went this note — a cheerful bit of propaganda that oh-so-subtly disproves all those ugly stereotypes about “self-righteous obama supporters” with a colorful blaze of moralistic tsk-tsking and first-amendment flag-waving. (woo! obama ‘08!)

“Expresion.” That’s the only mistake I find in a 15-second perusal of the sign. Oh, that and THE CAPITAL LETTERS which in this case are pretty well-placed, actually.
I don’t see much P-A in this note.
Fail.

And yet again, Bob Barr slips under the radar.

Was our Obama Girl aware that her apartment door (and the sign) was located a mere 25 yards from a polling station? Whoever stole it saved her the trouble of a lengthy political lawsuit, courtesy of Hillary’s lawyers.

When people say they would be, “more than happy” to do something differently than what they just did, they are lying. If doing it that way makes them “more than happy”, why didn’t they do it that way in the first place?
In my experience, people who say that they will be “more than happy” aren’t even close to being happy, and are, in fact, headed in the wrong direction.

I haven’t heard the word “tacky” outside of a fashion/clothing context in a long time. It’s got a sort of Dear Abby/Mrs. Howell ring to it.

Typically, the construct goes:
Not only (strong argument), but also (much stronger argument).
Stealing is not only illegal, it’s down right tacky.
Therefore, tackiness >> violation of statutes.

From my experience, the residents of Houston like a little more profanity and offensive content in their PA notes.

Ummm anyone mind explaining how this note is:
a) propaganda
b) contains a boatload of not so subtle obama supporter bashing that really doesn’t make sense?
Just a little confused. Not used to seeing non-passive aggressive notes posted just so the author of the site could get in some badly placed political snark.

It’s a bit PA. I mean, it could have said, “To the asshole fucking Republican that stole my Obama sign, you assdouche!” or something like that.

I think I’ll use Obama ‘08 at the end of all my PAN’s from now on… it’ll be a trademark just like THX Sandra. Plus it’ll help get my “Snark” out there.

I wonder how long it took to make the light pencil lines and then erase them off when she was done writing the rant… (NOBODY writes that straight and evenly without some sort of guide!)
I have an electric eraser for just the occasion. It’s awesome.

Yes, we can steal your sign; yes we can seize your propaganda. As we leave your front yard with a new wind at our backs and we take this journey across neighborhoods, a place we trespass, with your message we carry from the lime green walls of San Rafael, to the watery pods of Kansas, the same sign you had when we were up and when we were down, that out of many, we stole your one; that while we breathe, we will steal.
