When people say they would be, “more than happy” to do something differently than what they just did, they are lying. If doing it that way makes them “more than happy”, why didn’t they do it that way in the first place?
In my experience, people who say that they will be “more than happy” aren’t even close to being happy, and are, in fact, headed in the wrong direction.

I’m thinking her First Amendment comment is probably tongue-in-cheek, but if not, she’s made a common mistake. The First Amendment only applies to government actions, that is, it would have to be a government official who took down her sign before she could claim protection under the First Amendment. Private citizens can restrict your speech all they want.

Isn’t the point of a political sign to advertise the candidate you support? Posting said sign inside your house, instead of outside, where other people can see it somewhat defeats the purpose. Given that you own a sign and are willing to post it, you probably don’t need much convincing. Unless the person has no memory. For whom am I voting? Oh, yes, Obama! Glad I put that sign there.

Long time lurker, first time poster here. This reminds me of my undergrad school, which was a really conservative Catholic college. During the 04 election, the profs. (who were very liberal) would post Kerry posters on their office doors.
After the profs. went home for the nite, students (prolly the ones w/ W04 stickers on their doors) would tear the Kerry posters down, shred them, and toss them in a nearby trash can. The next day, certain profs. would just print out a new Kerry poster and the cycle would continue. I wonder if the Obama-sign-stealer is an alumnus of my school?
