I lived in the Plex for two years. But that was only because I was an antisocial whore who liked to share beds, not rooms.

Being from Northwestern, I can safely attest that this comment about Plex is 100% true. The segregation and part about “disinterested minorities” is completely true. In fact, the architect who designed plex also designed prisons in the Chicago area, so it really all make sense if you think about it.
