As for the rice, while I am sure that the sign is mostly about the money, if the sushi rice is made from scratch, they are probably honestly offended by the fact it wasn't eaten lol. On a side note, I found a Shakey's in Boise, Idaho a few years ago. No live music but some fun nostalgia!
