When I was about nine I marched into the kitchen and threatened suicide via a table knife aimed at my heart because “there’s no point in living if you won’t let me have a TV in my room!”

Eventually my mother stopped peeing herself laughing and asked me if I would set the table, since I had the cutlery in my hands, anyway.

Oh they know what to do, and it usually involves guilt, screaming, or throwing things. I once took a Tonka truck to the head and not one of the new fangled plastic ones either, but the old ones made of metal.

And then there was the time I got kicked in the shins with some Kmart thick plastic soled cowboy boots, and then the time he back headbutted me and made my nose bleed while I was holding him, …..

Ah kids, what little rascals! I would’ve preferred a note like this one instead of the scarring!
