I don’t know. I don’t take my friend’s facebook statuses that seriously to get upset about them. I guess I just take for granted that facebook is their outlet to vent a little.

The only things that bother me are vague messages that I might respond to jokingly only to be informed later that it was of a serious nature.

I’ve decided to just not have a facebook page. That way I don’t get to see annoying statuses and people will call/email/visit/use smoke signals if it’s really important.

I thought society had progressed to the point where we weren’t using “retard” any more. I guess not. Just to bring everyone up to speed, politeness-wise, it is not acceptable to refer to developmentally disabled persons as “retards” anymore.
