Stinky pulled an April Fools prank on Flatmate by making the drunk bastard believe that he escaped when really Stinky took the opportunity to help himself into Flatmates room to sleep on his bed and rip up his shoe laces while the stupidly drunk Flatmate tried in vain to find Stinky only to find out the next day, much to his annoyance, that Stinky was well and not lost.. After that, the signs were posted up by a pissed off Flatmate as a April Fools gift to Stinky.

In my honest opinion, being named "Stinky" is better for the cats self esteem then being named "Prozac Snowball licker".. Stinky can get a bath, Prozac, however; There is nothing that can redeem that.

Only in Harpers Ferry it is a normal sight to see a strange fellow waltzing around, trapping and throwing bags full of cats in the back of his pick up. He is like the towns Santa Clause, but instead of delivering toys and cheer, this cat collector unleashes a flurry of scared homeless cats on to the property of disgruntled owner who have no idea what to do with this guys left over trophy's other then hold a cat sanctuary and look around desperately to find the lost felines a home while Mr. Catnapper continues on his daily rounds of cat trapping and dumping fulfilling his role as The Cat Collector of Harpers Ferry. He is also the reason why Submitters #1 and #2 refuse to let or allow others to let their cats out into the world.

Is the Harper's Ferry note a reference I'm not getting, or is this horrific note actually the truth?

Driving them out to the countryside isn't the EASIEST option either. They call it a catapult for a reason.

There's variance by locality, of course. But I have a hard time believing that dumping a cat in the countryside is the BEST option. It's cruel to the cat and burdensome on the residents of that area.

I don't blame people for humanely trapping the cats, but please don't dump them in the countryside. It might resolve your problem, but usually makes everyone else's worse. There's lots of resources available, depending on where you live. There are no-kill shelters, the local humane society, animal control, feral cat organizations, etc.

I'd say it's more likely that the man in question is trapping cats that wander on to his property for some reason. I've done it. Had no choice. Neighbourhood cats have killed my chickens more than once. So I catch them and take them out to the countryside miles and miles away. Word seems to have spread amongst the cat community now and they stay away.
It was either that or start shooting them, to be honest.

Either this man is a desperate chicken owner, or he's just tired of them shitting in his begonias.
