Ah, people are wonderful (totally sarcastic remark).
I used to live on a house (street level, no neighbours, a one-family house) and people would toss dog poop bags at my backyard. And leftover sandwiches, cans, someone even left a smal broken chair once. I was outraged, really. It was my backyard and I used to keep it really clean, I had my plants, my laundry room was there… not that it looked abandoned or nothing.

I just don’t get it. If you take the time and effort to pick up your dog’s poop and put it in a bag, why wouldn’t you walk twenty more steps until you got to the public garbage can? Why you had to throw it at someone’s house? I would’ve loved to be there when the bag was thrown. As it didn’t break, I would’ve picked it up and throw it back right into the offender’s face hoping it would explode then.

We had an angry neighbor dump the contents of her dog’s litter box on our driveway. (yes, there ARE such things.) Apparently she did it twice, the first time while we were out of town, but someone unknown cleaned it up. It took a while to figure out who it was and why it was done, and was totally unexpected from her. Turned out to be over an HOA notice and fine. My husband’s on the board (never show up to an HOA meeting unless you WANT to be a board member), but since we were out of town, he had nothing to do with the decision to send it, and would have fought against it if he had known. Stupid way to get your problem resolved!

I found the squeaky wheel gets the grease. If you call and bug your landlords enough about this stuff eventually they will realize its easier to just deal with it than continue to have to hear you complain to them about it.

I have to ask, am I the only one wondering why she capitalized dog shit? Not to be a grammar nazi, I just found it slightly strange. But hey, maybe that’s just me.

Not sure when you were there, Caitlin, but I was there Fall of 1987 staying in Gannon Hall. At that time, WSU was nothing but a party commune. Too young? Never an issue. Especially since my roomie was 27. Funny thing is, I was only 18, and HE got carded all the time. There was always puke in the hallways, stairwells, bathrooms and even the water fountains on the weekends. I wasn’t a real partier, so it wasn’t really a good place for me. I ended up going to community college for my A.A. then transferred to WWU.

Aw, thanks! Basically not a fuck is given in general by the management. They don’t care about the great deal of broken glass outside all along my wall, I’ve been here almost a year. If I’m only annoyed every 2 months or so I feel I should consider myself lucky. I just don’t understand the complete lack of consideration. A constant stream of brats. I’m hoping someone like myself will move in upstairs to stay since I’m pretty much stuck here for the duration.

The square of grass outside my windows is where all the pets come to do their doodie, and it’s always picked up, unlike other corners around the complex, so I should thank my lucky stars.
