I would write on some a friend’s sidewalk, after having attended their party
(on the way out thus giving the direction of the words), giving specific detail as to actual events that occurred during the party, and sign their landlord’s name to the note as a practical joke. Particularly if there were a kiddy table near by with sidewalk chalk lying about and I had heard that their landlord relatively kept up with “look” of the complex…..

Yes, becoming perceived as someone we don’t necessarily want to be because of insistent frustration is something we are apparently both susceptible to.
That could just be the problem with judging who and how people are in real life solely by what they post online.
Must be an internet thing!

Either that, or we are both making excuses for our actions, and I don’t believe either of us are trying to do that.. Rather, we are being unusually honest with one another and ourselves about our actions and words on the internet

LOL..If I prattle on, what are those who continue to respond to me (like you, aaaa) doing? OG and I had a reasonably cordial conversation. We interacted, yet only I prattled? You have your place in the sun now. I’d suggest you leave it at that. ROTFL

OG, hatchet now buried, there’s a section of this site called “community” where conversations can be held off of the main thread about the notes. There used to be a lot of activity over there, and it can be a good place to better get to know one another and form some strong friendships.

The community was once an active, vibrant place here. Perhaps a few curious, open-minded people interested in friendship and growth could make it so again.
There’s a link at the top of the page. Make of it what you will.
Who knows? Maybe willing participants will become the second generation of what used to be called “The Regulars” around here!

Oh geeeeeeeee, I had this whole thing written out showing where you did say all that stuff about amount and used that to declare me a resident of “Imaginationville” but hells – if folks want to see that all they have to do is hit control find (for the kids playing at home search “Imaginationville”). It’s pretty blatant. In the end, you’re right. You have called me any one of a number of things in the past few months, none of them very pleasant. Generally my guess is that we do not have similar senses of humor in that I don’t think its amusing to lodge personal insults. I had tried very hard previously not to respond with the same general tone. But this time, after the Imaginationville quip, for some reason, I lost my self control enough to throw an insult back your ways. It was inappropriate and I am sorry. Not so much sorry to you, but sorry to everyone else who wants to read crazy arguments but without personalized insults thrown in.

Congrats to you though, CB. First, for causing me to slip into being someone I don’t necessarily want to be through frustrating the shit outta me (and ya still do, friend) and second, for calling me on it. This has been a good talk. Consider the hatchet buried

Again, I do not recall the exchange mentioned above in detail…I don’t take most of this very seriously and certainly not something months old. I did, according to you however, say I was working on becoming a kinder, gentler CB…not that I had or have at this time achieved that ultimate goal.
I don’t see where you’ve posted what comment my words were referring to, so I’ll take your word for it that I said all of that for no reason at all.
Looks like when I said “Can’t speak to Connecticut’s Medicare system…because there isn’t one .” , you may have said something alluding to Medicare and the State of Connecticut which prompted my response, but since I don’t know the conversation verbatim, I’d just as soon let that all rest in peace.

I apologize for making a comment in regards to nothing.

I’m not snippy about anything, though I do take exception to some things (why my exceptions/objections/disagreements should be considered “snippy”, or “acting superior” is another question which raises my “racedar” antennae, can’t I just openly and honestly disagree without characterization?). I don’t hold 2 month-old conversations against anyone as if neither they nor I have said anything since that particular 2 month-old exchange to shed any deeper light about one another to one another.
First impressions are only lasting impressions if we close our minds and choose to make them so.
I prefer to live in the now.
Not that I’ve always been perfect at that, but I don’t hold grudges and only bring up past posts when the directly…directly contradict a heartfelt position one has espoused in the past.
Not nit-picking BS comments meant as small jokes later taken seriously.
I never said anything about you saying “I never said anything about the amount of beer spilled, the amount of cigarette butts, the amount of alcohol consumed or any of that. You silly duck, stop arguing with the kind people inside your head and try to stay focused.”, because I never said you said any of that. I was just pointing out that we have to interpret the given facts in order to form an intelligent opinion about them. I left the kind people inside my head out of it and stayed focused ignoring what I could have taken as an intended insult, because I know you are above insulting anyone as you’ve accused me of doing so much, and showing such distaste for it, that I know that behavior is beneath you so you’re incapable of being guilty of doing so yourself.
