That band name is all kind of bad. I went from Crimson Tide, to Old Glory, to “Isn’t that a euphemism for monthly cycle?” Maybe that’s why I never heard of them. Then again, it could be that I’m just not cool.

Funny chapstick story: Friend C was walking with her friend A. She asked if he had chapstick she could borrow/use. He reached in his pocket for one and handed it to her. After she used it and handed it back, he said, “Mine is in one pocket, that one is the one I give to everybody who asks me if i have chapstick they can borrow.”

McGyver would shred the synthetic fibers on the outside of the hairband with his teeth, mix them with the wax from the chapstick to create an improvised explosive. Then he would use the elastic and empty chapstick tube to create a rapid-fire cotton ball cannon. Using cotton balls from the office first aid kit he would coat them with the explosive to make cotton balls that burst into spectacular flame on impact, but not when the are forcefully launched from the cannon. He would use the extra explosive compound to blow the lock on the door to escape the office, fight off the bad guys with the cotton ball cannon (none of them would be physically hurt, just so shocked by the near miss burning cotton balls that they drop their guns and fall off the dock into the water), then proceed to save the missing child, pay off the widows tax bill, keep the developers from dozing under the spotted owl habitat and be home in time for a freshly brewed cup of tea.

Yeah, that sounds more like McGyver. Of course, Chuck Norris would accomplish all those things using just his little toe.

Scene: bespectacled, pimple-faced geek frantically searching through desk drawers

Geek: “Where did that hair band get to? I know I put it in here after the neighbors complained about the noise they were making. Why can’t they just rehearse without the amps?”

Geek Friend: “Dude, you left that down at the help desk. They’ve been there all week putting chap stick on their lips and eating everyones lunch out of the office fridge.”

Geek: ” For Fuck Sakes. I’d better call Sandra and ask her to put them in my drawer in the fridge. I don’t want to get another note from elaine.”

Geek 2: “Yeah dude. Bad Hair Band You.”
