Kristen in San Francisco says the copy room is ground zero for office arguments, such as this battle of the “enviro people.”

Meanwhile, Ryan in Minneapolis says his building manager left the following note on the mailbox, apparently “after a vagrant left a little ‘present’ in the recycling bin.” Adds Ryan: “Why he thought anyone in the apartment house would do such a thing is beyond any of us.”

Actually the wrappers are coated with some sort of wax that makes them unrecyclable, but the ream of paper that’s in the wrapper is recyclable, which is likely what the recycle symbol on the wrapper is for. At least, that’s what I was told.

We have this quirky lady who shreds paper wrappers, she fishes through the bins and finds all the bits and then runs them through a shredder she totes behind her on a trolley. People are freakin weird man

Am I the only one that realized that the only person that wasted paper on signage was the one that asked people not to waste paper on signage? Clearly the two notes before his are written on bits of the paper wrappers and packaging. Team Recycle All the Things.

Why some apartment dwellers get faster toilet repairs
There was a young man from Nantucket
Who knew how to poop in a bucket
Based on his upbringing
Instead of handwringing
The manager promptly unstuck it.

You’d think they could FIND a way to recycle them. I say toss the wrappers in. We do. It’s their problem if they can’t figure out how to recycle it. Think of it as motivation!

Is anyone else seeing a large percentage of the text on this page with a line through it, or is Chrome going mental?

Hmm maybe different companies have different wrappers , ours can be recycled and are made from recycled paper. Not easy to tell but that wrapper looks the same as its has both marks and the ringed one does say please recycle under the symbol.

Someone disturbed enough to defecate in a garbage can or recycle bin probably won’t be deterred by a sign.

Well, gotta admit that this is amusing.
As for the signs complaining about wasting paper, use ‘em as toilet paper. Tis recycling, is it not?

Anyone notice that the strikethrough is not just the posts? Everything on the page below 4.1 is sticken through, i.e. the footer text, the “Blog Roll”, etc.

It must be the bad karma from posting this note because all the other posts display correctly.

Since poop is perfectly biodegradable, a recycle bin is the perfect place for it….even in the elitist tenant thinks it must have been deposited by a vagrant.

There’s pretty much nothing in the world that isn’t recyclable (nuclear waste included). The only question is how easy it is to recycle, and whether your average municipal recycling centre has the necessary equipment and whether there is sufficient political will to invest in recycling.

Is it ok if I take a dump in the bins and then wipe my arse with recycled toilet paper?
