But I do think it’s fair to distinguish between a person who is angry / provoked and writes a sign to express their displeasure versus somebody who has a mental illness and with no provocation kills somebody.

Sorry, you’re right Krystal the incident did happen four years ago. From some cursory googling, apparently he spoke to the media about it for the first time this past May.

And to be fair, the guy wasn’t upset so much as he was schizophrenic (whether undiagnosed or un-treated is unclear).

that actually happened July 2008 … over 4 years ago. And the guy who did it has actually spoken about how terribly he regrets it…. So yeah, we canadians are a pretty polite people, even after we’ve beheaded and eaten them…

The Sprinter vans are made by both Mercedes and Dodge, so it could be American-made, or could be European, just depends on the particular model you purchase.

Either way, seems like he’s self-sabotaging any attempt at selling the thing.

American can build a good vehicle…

…if it follows this formula _only_:

– Rear Wheel Drive
– V8
– Body on Frame
– 3 speed automatic (4 if overdrive is offered)

Anything else is suicide.

This vehicle has:

– I4/V6
– 6 gears
– Unibody

At least it’s rear wheel drive. Frankly, if I were considering one of these POSes, I’d just get a dodge caravan. They’re both equally crap, but at least the caravan is cheaper.

Not saying that the old formula is the only way to do it right, but if it’s an American car, yeah, seems like that’s all that they *can* do right.

When Canadians are truly upset, they don’t bother with apologetic signs or letters of regret. (See for example, the Greyhound bus beheading and cannibalism back in May of this year near Manitoba.)
