I just wanted to clarify. The old woman the neighbor was talking about was my grandma. When my grandmother died my dad reluctantly took over taking care of the cat but would not let the cat in the house. The witness he discussed is my aunt. Also yes he wrote the response on the back of the note from the neighbor with the hopes that she would read it but more than likely she didn't. While I'm in it. Her predecessor did the same thing. I keep a water bowl down for her, and she gets some canned food each day. Even my indoor cats insist on drinking from sink, bathtub or potted plant over ar "nice and clean" bowl near their food. (I don't even bother anymore - just keep the spare bathroom sink full).
