Actually, my big brother has Asperger’s and I lived with him for 16 years. That was the first thing I thought when I saw this note because that is very much something he would have done without a second thought.

I honestly had to check the link to make sure this was not my ex, also named Nate. Same handwriting, same douchey ‘territoriality’ of objects declared his … However, if these had been my post-it notes, he would have had no problem writing on them- or taking them as his own, for no one else to use. — So, yes, Tiff’s Nate may be joking- but people do exist that are the very definition of this post-it note exchange.

2 exclamation marks in one note- that is a form of abuse. Nate’s note is a perfectly valid response. Just look at his signature, he is really struggling to cope and I’d hazard a guess that he hadn’t had a coffee yet.

Well the fact that he wasted another Post-it to write his note demonstrates he is just being a smartass. It probably made her laugh, which is the reason she says she loves him. Some people take things way too seriously.

Indeed, it is actual irony and it’s funny.

I am, as always, stunned by how exceedingly sensitive people are. I had a boss, whom I got along with just fine, come in one morning and say “Jones, you look like shit”. I laughed because (a) I did indeed look like shit; and (b) what a card, actually saying that to an employee. People I related this tale to, however, clutched their pearls, fanned their pursed-lipped faces, and sniffed their disapproval to the high heavens. Get a goddamned grip, people. The higher the level of offense you feel, the sooner that ulcer will kill you.

We used to take the big post-it notes and fold them into mini garbage cans. I can see Tiff making one, crumpling up his note and shoving it in there, and then leaving another note indicating that she threw it out.

Nate would then respond with a tirade about the destruction of rainforests and how thousands of horses are killed every year to make the adhesive.
