I’ve seriously considered, if I could find a site where you can make joke petitions, not real ones, creating an online petition saying that Rufus needs to wear sunglasses 24/7 because of his “illegally beautiful eyes.” *chuckles* I swear, even in just a photograph he looks like he’s staring into your soul.

Course if I could find an address I knew was good I’d just send him a fan letter he’d likely never read. Just because.

Yeah, I know the feeling, Jami. I actually have heard about Costa Mesa, though I’ve never been there, but my hometown is a similar town north of you, Ridgecrest, CA. And now I live in a suburb of Seattle small enough that when people from out of state ask where I live the answer is always that I’m from the Seattle area.

I grew up in a town like that here in northeast PA. I always had to tell people the two larger towns it was between, and even those towns were pretty small . We’re on opposite sides of the country from each other, though!

SOME people have heard of it, I admit. But most people, even life long Californians, just look at me blankly. We sometimes get a passing mention in a Dean Koontz novel while the heroes are running away from someplace like Laguna to escape the rampaging serial killer.
