Got it, Ed?

February 19th, 2014 · No Comments

Our submitter spotted this behind a building on a college campus in Maine — a college that apparently does not tolerate outside-the-utility-box thinking among its employees.

ED THIS IS HOW YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PAINT THEM

Poor Ed. If only he worked in a jurisdiction where his style of painting could truly be appreciated, like, say, San Francisco…

Or Boston…

Or Salem, Massachusetts…

…or dozens of other cities around the world. Don’t give in to the man, Ed!

The cowardly lawn

January 22nd, 2014 · 82 Comments

Writes Claire in Cincinnati: “This individual moved in a month ago and is already getting into a note war with the neighbors!”

To the 'neighbors': Thanks for the letter. Worry about yourself. Not my lawn. For our real neighbors, we apologize. Thanks for being a coward!

Begging for a backstory

Carolyn and her husband were intrigued by this message on a car they spotted at a roadside farmer’s market in Maryland. “We desperately wanted to know who the driver was and who wrote it,” Carolyn says. “Unfortunately, we never got to see either before we left.”

So, what do you imagine the story is here?

Our submitter in Portland, Oregon saw this sign while out for her morning run. Strangely, she took a pass on the hot date.

The gift that keeps on giving

August 12th, 2013 · 54 Comments

Our submitter stumbled upon this (excessively punctuated) gem while reading reviews for a product she was considering purchasing on Amazon.

A gift for my niece. I sure hope she like's it. She didn't write me a Thank-you note. But, she likes to sew, so it seemed like an appropriate gift.!

Did someone page the office fat police?

August 8th, 2013 · 196 Comments

“There has always been candy on the secretary’s desk at work,” writes Dennis in Louisiana, “but “someone recently moved in to the office who does not need to be eating any candy. I think the message here is pretty clear.”

Over the (top) rainbow

Writes Tom in Cleveland: “In the parking garage of my apartment building, some B parked in assigned spot 144, which belonged to another B, who then covered B1′s Jeep in harshly-worded notes on multi-colored construction paper.”

DISLIKE This person parked in my spot. Inconsiderate much? I had to park 3 blocks away just so a person could park in a spot I paid for. I'm posting pics of your car info on social media. I have 20,000+ followers. Don't worry...I called management. Leopard print? Try the Jersey Shore!!!

Seriously, Jay?

Today we had a situation where someone ate the center of 40-50 chic-fil-a- minis and left the bread. Please realize we don't want the bread you dug through. Feel free to either eat the bread or throw the bread away. This will help us all live together. Please read the following rules of functioning in a society. It may help.

A devilish Tasmanian

April 10th, 2013 · 41 Comments

Writes Renata: “On our holiday to northern Tasmania, we were driving to Mole Creek Caves when I spotted this sign in a tiny little town called Chudleigh. The town’s main point seemed to be the sale of honey, but obviously some of the residents have a sting in their tail.”
