Hey T, I know. At the same time, I think we were free and loose with our descriptions of him in here, and if someone came along and read that, I can see why it would upset them, they might over-react (and I know it was an overreaction and some parts unwarranted, but we really did say some pretty nasty things in here) and retaliate.

On the other hand, he was too much at the beginning and the form of retaliation was childish when it would have been better if he had just come in and called us out. But it is a PAN forum.

Anyway, I see your point of view and others and his and as I say, I don’t think he’s posting here now, anyway. I know he is acerbic.

oi, I’m not sure and I could be wrong, but I think dip-pal is referring to a snuff called skoal – you dip into snuff. I thought he was being slightly rude, actually, but now this is my answer.

mark, come in and spill your guts, the rest of us do, too. ♥ to you, anyway. Sorry about keppler and the jobs.

I’m heading out for the day. Sorry to maybe stir up some trouble.

Sorry I’ve been absent lately, (((CIFs))).

    My life is teh suxx0r.

Kepler, my most favoritest kitty evar (the super-friendly orange one), died last Friday. Well, we put him to sleep. He had been kinda sluggish and mopey for a couple weeks, but we just thought it was… I dunno. Well, last Friday I found him hiding under my bathroom counter. Not good. His gums and footpads were really pale. Turned out he had multiple tumors all over his insides. We decided the best thing to do was to put him to sleep. :(

Yesterday, I got put on part-time status. 24 hr/wk. That is due to lack of projects to work on because of the economy, not because I’m incompetent — I just had a very nice positive yearly performance review earlier this week. I think it will be a little refreshing to have a little more time off, but lack of money will suck. I will have more time to brew — I’ve been meaning to get back to it now that it’s cooler out.

Today, Mrs Mark got laid off from her job. Yes, we are divorcing. But we’re still living together (in separate beds of course). This may make it a bit difficult to pay bills and stuff. She does think she can probably work contract for her old job — they have a couple of people going out for maternity leave so they could use her help for a couple/few months. I hope she can manage to get that contract job. And then she can also be looking for a job back in Houston.

Fall/winter is here, which I actually really like.

(((Rilla))), GOOD SHOW on the ST2:WOK quote a few days ago, that is one of my favorite quotes. “He tasks me!…”

(((Glo))), I have a similar floating dream, though mine doesn’t involve stairs. I find that I can just lift my legs and float everywhere I want to go, like levitating. Fun stuff.

(((Rose))), Tamago is one of my favorite sushis as well.

CIFs, don’t worry too much, I’ll be fine, but life is kind of teh suxx0r right now.

    Sorry to bring everyone down.

We haven’t had a fire in a long time. Feels good to chase away the chill.

    Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

We were debating whether it was TOS out there, but it’s not, the styles are similar, and snuffy did say old skoal (hmm, I have to figure his comment out).

Sushi just means vinegared rice with an accompniment on top. A lot of people thing that sashimi is sushi, however.

I don’t think CG is an Aussie, and I don’t know her, but just in posts she has indicated that she is female. I like her posts, too.

Most sushi has a fish topping though, but this is my favourite Egg sushi, or tamago .

    Hi rose, glo.

I am trying to post here from morning but for some unfathomable reason heisa would not let me. let’s see about this.

o rose, It’s always delight to see that you were addressed in your absence.

first do you know CG personally? you know that she is female and aussie etc
second sushi, Isn’t sushi primarily a raw fish dish? rice is just accessory to various fish. when you order sushi without fish in it, isn’t it ironic? My jappy roommate was very amused when I said I love sushi given that I don’t eat fish.

third, I do not have any problems w/ TOS I actually like his totally random comments . I just can’t understand his posts sometimes. that’s it. somehow that snuffy ’s writing style ringed TOS in my mind.

so 8th time is the charm for heisa?
glo my post in the morning said that I thumbed you on MT.

I think the myriad of names guy is analogeyser? But, anyway, I’m not even sure if snuffy is the myriad of names guy.

    1. People I don’t know and have never heard of are retweeting my comments on the Ralph Lauren thing. That feels CRAZY.
    2. The trailer for Uncertainty makes me … uncertain. It starts PAINFULLY “indie movie cliche” and then gets more interesting and less, well, cliche … but it could end up feeling like two totally different short films unhappily married together by the character names and actors rather than one cohesive concept.

glo, sorry to hear about your b.l. new job, I say, new job. You can do it, girl!
CB, I liked your joke out there and got it. The lulz guy, I almost responded to him straight away, but wasn’t sure if he was being ironic or not.
oi, why is veggie sushi ironic? It is commonplace in japan. egg is my favourite.
mama, I’m so pleased you popped back in, use your key anytime. In fact, I think the door is always open!
Hey, how is ZB, does anyone know? She hasn’t popped in for a while.
Wade, I hope the grind eases up and tinks and timo, or imo, I hope your anger subsides.
WotV, bowel movements, huh? Or was that yesterday’s news?
♥ fan ♥ did things get sorted with the attorney?
and I think that’s everyone… did ghostie pop in today? (((ghostie))) just in case.

It’s mostly an exercise in stranded knitting, which is when you knit with two different colors at the same time to make a multi-colored pattern. I’ve only done a little of it and want to gain a bit more proficiency at it before tackling a garment.

Nope. I think it might be a book cover, which would be kinda useless. I’m on week 5 of a 10 week mystery.

Not a very exciting evening here. Cold, and not rainy. Fixed some knitting I screwed up last night. That’s about it.

You are right, mama. Fried cheese is the bomb!

I don’t have the naked dreams much either. One dream I have that I LOVE and I think is real every fricking time is that I am walking down a flight of stairs and I realize I don’t have to walk down, I can just sort of float down and I really softly just jump off and float to the bottom. I’m always pissed when I wake up and realize it was just a dream. I’ll probably fall down the stairs trying to float down them someday.

I never have naked in public dreams. Only topless. I’ll find myself walking topless because I somehow rationalize that it’s acceptable and then it slowly dawns on me that perhaps it’s really not. I always start to run but that just makes it worse. Sometimes the dreams vary and it’s my pants that get left behind. *pun intended* ;-)
