I have that Bare Minerals stuff, but I don’t mix them – I just buy the lightest shade. I have several foundations because I keep thinking I’ll find one that matches. Ah, well, Saturday I’m dying the locks – channeling my inner Abby for Halloween while accentuating my deathly pale skin. Perfect.

I, too, am paler than pale, Wo. I don’t wear foundation, because if I do, I look like I have fake tan on. So I just get mineral powder. I usually get “translucent”; last time I accidentally bought “light” and it’s driving me nuts.

Don’t expect sympathy from me, oi! I went to buy some new makeup from clinique and stumped them. They tried the lightest shade called “pale” and it was too dark. Apparently I have to find somewhere that makes “undead” to match my skin tone. BUT – in order to tap into the positive, I am going to dye my hair nice and dark and go with a Snow White vibe.

So we’re talking “brotherly love” here. My two boys would take to each other with stick swords.
They would call it practice. As long as no one took any shots to the head it was all ok .

getting up on the pumpkin time for me…We are supposed to take the grandkids down town to enjoy the local Halloween fest but the rain hasn’t let up yet and now the wind is starting to pick up. I may chicken out and suggest the local chinese buffet instead to asuage the need to get out of the house in costume…Capt. American and Tiffany Aching witch will have to show their finary to the waitresses there instead.

I’ve just come from making my oldest son look like a zombie. It took several layers of my foundation -yes I am that pale – along with purple around the eyes and red streaks.

My youngest is going as someone who is “seen” or “scene” or something. To the best of my knowledge, it’s someone who overdoes the current fads and thus ends up looking like a dork.

And my middle guy is going with hubby to a wedding in Canada. I really wanted to go, but the youngest didn’t want to miss Halloween.

oi, most of the time as a kid I went trick-or-treating as what we called a bum. My mom called them hobos and today they would be called homeless. Most of the times I wasn’t a bum, I was a gypsy. That was all long before the era of political correctness. I got a fake mustache out of a gumball machine at the drugstore. I’m going to put it on with a straight face and see if anyone notices. It’s exactly the same color as my hair.

Or go for the goth look. Fake piercings, dark eyeliner, black clothes with lots of silver chains…

You could just go to a Halloween store and see what they have. A lot of women’s costumes are trampy, but you might find something.

For years, I went as a glamorous witch. It wasn’t much of a stretch ;) I have longish wavy hair that I can frizz, a witch hat with purple feathers, black top and skirt with ripped black tights and pointy boots. Pale makeup and red lips. You could try that…

I’m pretty happy with most of my comments on the MT, getting my share of emerald status.

    Ego is sufficiently stroked.

Time to get ready for Thursday at the salt mines.

Have a really good day everyone…if not, just maim the boss and be done with it! LOL

Hungry animals become stunningly un-shy of non-traditional prey,’Glo.

That’s our problem as a species. We have become arrogant and find it hard to view ourselves as prey.

Yeah, I read that article. One coyote has been shot. It was unusual for them to attack. Anyway, ‘glo, I know that baking is very serious business… just ask Sweeney Todd.

Just flying through. Morning, (((CB))). Timo, I left a web address in your mbl. A really cool traditional Japanese carpentry site.

OK, well, guess I better get down to some serious baking.

If you’re not a baker, you have no idea just how serious it can get.

    Deadly serious.

Really? Coyotes? I thought they were pretty shy of actual humans. Huh.

‘Morning, CB. These new ads are going to be the death of me. Maybe I can sneak a different browser on the old work PC. I don’t know. They are NOT COOL. :(

Canadian folk singer Taylor Mitchell dies after being attacked by coyotes while hiking in Nova Scotia.

So much for communing with nature.

I thought we built cities because humans compete really, really poorly in the “natural” world.
Hell, even the Three Little Pigs understood in the end that a sturdy house is where you need to be when you don’t have claws and fangs!

OK, so I’m just justifying my laziness…but I’m still alive to do it.

Never knew the world would end over a half-eaten doughnut.

You guys have been busy today. Haven’t completely back read, but nice to see a lot of faces.

I feel like I should talk to most people, too, and I like being talked to, talking with, most people (except glo’s boss lady… grrr).

You can look around and there’s not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see.
