    Morning y’all…

Rose…”thiugh” was a repeat of the misspelling of “Though” from a few threads back when I meant to have a name of “Though She Was Born a Long, Long Time Ago”.

‘Twas just a piece-ful way of saying “I’m back” while keeping with the meme of devouring the late Mormon, Andy.

Maybe I should have asked if he had a running buddy named Amos, but that might have been seen as being ‘insensitive for referencing old racist TV + radio shows’ even though it would have been meant to highlight the only-decades-recent relaxing of the Mormon honor code to include African Americans (or non-Caucasians or whatever the actual revelation or prophesy was back then).

Hopefully if I ever offer you a virtual piece o’ fish you’ll not be unsure and accept it unambiguously…hook, line, and sinker…as ’twere…

Gotta let Mrs. T on to this borrowed rig to check her email…

    Cheers y’all!

Re DLS, as opposed to SLC… (no connection – LDS, that’s what I meant!), my state, for years, has voted against it. The last three years the government had a three year trial. The businesses were happy, and a lot of people, too. I don’t like it, but lots of people think we’re totally backward for not having it. I like sunlight in the morning. Not that I always get up at that time. I like long evenings, but they can finish at 8 or 7.30, no problem.

oi, in China they do not differentiate between times. I cannot believe that. It is such a huge country. Imagine the difference between 5am on the east and the west of the country.

Total drive-by. Had a nice enough weekend, nothing particularly exciting. Brewed 9 gal of beer today. It was supposed to be 11, I’m fine-tuning my process since I upsized my boil kettle. So it’ll be 9 gal of more powerful stuff than I had planned (well, 6% instead of like 4.8%, no biggie).
Tomorrow I’m heading off to Kodiak Island, AK again to do some work for the Coast Guard water treatment plant there. I’ll be there tomorrow through Friday. So I’m not gonna be in here for a little bit longer, but I’m doing fine, don’t worry about me.
My mom is having an exploratory heart procedure done on Friday, I’m not totally clear on exactly what it is, but a stent may be placed when they do it. That is on Friday morning. It seems that she failed her “stress test” a week or so ago. :( I think she’ll probably be OK, but it is definitely worrying.
Anyway, hope y’all are doing well. I will check in again probably once I get back from Kodiak.

‘glo, I like my Li Young Lee, and I think if I had learnt a lot of those poems younger they definitely would have stuck with me. My mother quotes them all the time. I’m not that well read on poetry, though, and have some trouble with the older poems. Not to say they aren’t good.

    And chased his father home…

My family, great ones for bastardising the great ones.

By the way, I’m surprised that someone as patds didn’t offer yourself up to Frankie for sacrifice, earlier :)

    Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
    What immortal hand or eye
    Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare sieze the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art.
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
    Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

    Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
    What immortal hand or eye
    Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

You think Blake was ripping Shakespeare off?

    Oh, hai rose.

I was just classifying the joint up a bit.

I forgot you said you’d be travelling, ty. Hope you’re having a good time, and it hasn’t been to tough on your aches and pains.

In peace there ’s nothing so becomes a man
    As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.

Hi Y’all all, or is it all y’all, youse guys…

I backread, or back read and nothing new on this page.

    Ty, welcome back.

Wade, that video is awesome. Adnoxious (I haven’t checked him out for a while) has a whole series on his site – his readers vote for the worst each week.

That mobile home one was great, though. Channeling Raymond Carver.

We have a public holiday today and there is snow on the mountains. WotV – I’m sure the internet (or RB? or Saysh? or Morph?) could help you out with some of your queries ;)

The KOS has a Daily interest in all of his dough mane. As long as he doesn’t find my secret Singha stash, I let him do his thing…

Nothing on finances until Spring or Summer (Soc. Sec. moves glacially when it moves in a good way…denials they do in nanoseconds…)

Will check in in a few days from Austin…just passing thru today.

You could always renounce the Cowboys and embrace the Pack instead, Wade. Try to do it during a losing season for more authenticity. ;)
