    I know right.

You know when I went to buy a tv. Here is the conversation I had with sales guy.
You should buy Samsung because it’s the best brand in the market. It’s quality is excellent, It will never die on you like some other cheap brands. blah blah.
I am like ok. I am buying it.
Next, you should also buy extended warranty and by paying only $30 month($360/year more than half of actual price) you ‘ll get 8 years of warranty and I am like did not you say it’s the best brand on the market?
Then next oh you also should buy power surge protector because when there is an instability in the power it might damage your TV. It’s just for $25 you know. Then he goes if TV breaks cuz of bad quality power it’s not covered in the warranty!!
I am like are you the same guy who insisted on to buy an extended warranty?
I was just seconds away from breaking into screaming rage.
He smiled apologetically and goes you know we have to tell these to all customers.
and I am like and hope at least 1 out of 10 would be stupid enough to buy all, right?
    again very apologetic smile.
    That phone is cool, btw

my phone broke. i brought it in last week. they said it was covered under warranty. i was happy. they said it would take 7-10 business days to get it back. that is fine. they gave me a loaner phone. today- 6 business days later mind you – they called and said it would cost 39.95 to fix and that i would need to come into the store with a credit card and a signature. problems i have with this.

    1. you said it was covered under warranty
    2. i dont have a car, and it’s quite a hike to your store
    3. why the F*$% did it take SIX BUSINESS DAYS to tell me you aren’t fixing it yet?

Glo- I use chrome and there are a few drawbacks – not all sites will work and you can’t print selection, which sucks. Otherwise it’s good. I only resort to IE if I have to.

I am overwhelmed with work. Ghostwriting sci fi novel, got 6 huge NLP books to review for 65K word book project, editing a marketing website and mailers, comic sales article still in flux, audiobook articles daily, and wisegeek articles due (did I tell you guys that I got hired by wisegeek?). I love being a writer and things just keep getting better. This is when being overwhelmed feels pretty damn good.

as for the class – they have beginners and advanced yoga, which i’d love to take, tho they seem to want me to do some class called “group power” which is open to all levels.

Wo, you can pretty much assume any time I’ve gone quiet for like an hour, it’s because I started thinking about Wade and got DISTRACTED. ;)

    Hi, ‘glo…

Hate to complicate your life with binary decisions, but…

Great newish tabernacle in San Diego…usually wonderful weather, plus you can go to Sea World after…

But for daughters, ya gotta go to Utah…I used to work for a PC distributor who sold Novell systems (God, I’m old…er experienced) which was based in Orem and owned by a Mormon…around the office Novell’s order processing department was nicknamed the “Valley of the Mary’s”…lotsa youngish Mormon women being independent-for-now-but-subject-to-leave-the-company-if-the-right-catch-presentes-himself thing…

I’d summon or research a suitable quote from Dr. Lecter, but Legal has recommended against any specific encouragement…the foregoing being travel and sociological information available on the public Internets…

Have a nice vacation wherever you happen to find yourself…ty

    @oi…

thanks again for explanation on gmail…I assume you’re right but I’ll try it in Austin (Thursday or later) just so I have 1st hand experience with it

    re: fan
my experience with noisy fans has been noisy fan >> dead fan >> dead or damaged CPU

much cheaper to have IT replace fan if that’s all it is…also if they decide it’s not fan, then IT can repair or replace their chopice of components before you lose CPU…ask them to listen/look in AM…

No problem re “college” remark…I didn’t think it was at me…just wanted to show my age + tech survival longevity…oh, and wanted to bring attention to BOT’s missile remark (it’s particularly relevant to me since V-2 missile is one primary character in my favorite novel, *Gravity’s Rainbow*)…

Zina has brought out the naughty in you, glo! Time to ignore… Take a deep cleansing breath and think:
    WWWD
What Would Wade Do? Seriously. He’s the Zen Master of PAN.
After that you just sit and think about Wade. By then you are distracted and forget about trolls.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you, Wo. And your knit item is in the mail. Go stand by the mailbox. It’ll be there any minute. Really.

oi, that sounds a little fishy. Did IT guy actually come and listen to it? In my previous experience a very noisy CPU is a about-to-be-dead CPU.

I’m thinking of either raping someone’s daughter or blowing up a tabernacle. All in the day in the the life of a godless heathen, you know.

Neuro-linguistic programming. I have to write a 65K word book simplifying it. Um… yeah.

Looks like I have to take 2/3 of my kids to the mall. They must immediately spend the money I paid them for yardwork…

    Later, my loves…

I guess I should talk to IT. It’s super fast computer because I was given some added responsibility so got new computer to match it. I think what they added some RAM and did something so there are two “brains” on a single CPU so it can performs more than one process at the same time. And I guess that means more heat generation and more noise.
p.s. I talked to IT he says it’s price to pay but he’ll make it intermittent.

sorry (((oi))). when was the last time the inside of your cpu was vacuumed out? sometimes that helps, because the fan isn’t having to work so hard to keep things cool.
