Well miss Rose, I know you are up later than you usually are because you usually clock out soon after I clock in…

ugh is late again, I am gonna have to give her some more demerits!!

Time for me to get on the road, I will be back in about 30 min.

If you aren’t here anymore when I get back, then have a good night… if you are, see you then!! :D

I teach here, and I can get a pretty nice job. I lived here way back for about three years in my early twenties, and I’ve used Japanese for work in Australia, though I am not fluent, so it’s a pretty easy place for me to live.

Whenever I go home for an extended period I feel as if I will never leave again. More a feeling of being trapped rather than contentment, though I also love Perth. They say Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world (though I don’t really know what they are comparing that against), but they are probably right.

I’ve never really had pets introduced to each other at different stages of their lives get on, so good luck with that.

Yes, I happened to see you had buckwheat, right?

Big Sis Crack Kitty has been trying to kill the little one… I hope it doesn’t keep up, otherwise I will have to get rid of the little one cause I can’t be an umpire forever!!

Little one went in the litter box this morning, I was so proud!! :D Now just to get her to go in there without me placing her in there!

A couple years?? Wow, that’s a long time, why exactly are you there again? (stoner… but you knew that!)

I’ve got a couple of years. I don’t think it’s indefinite, but I don’t know. It’s getting pretty expensive to live in Australia.

Is big Sis Crack Kitty accepting the little one any more?

Just read Claw’s comment - it was a good one (the *baset* hound one).

Did you read back? I ate a weird flavour for you yesterday :D

Thanks for the menu, that way I know what I want to order whenever I might happen to end up in Japan! :D

At least it’s not weird flavors, cause that might ruin ice cream for me altogether!

How long are you gonna be over there, or is it an indefinite thing?

Here are 27 flavours! I had to edit some out of the photo - and I wrote on just a few of the flavours. If you squint close enough, you can see the descriptions below.

    Fairly standard.

Wade - the cure for the hand is to not be on here right now, and to not use the mouse for surfing and scrolling, really. Getting a proper desk, chair, etc. - but they are the kinds of things you need to get rid of at the end of a contract - and they take up space.

I have a Swatch pin from the Sydney Olympics, I think, that they gave us when I was working in the duty free. I guess someone somewhere would like to collect that.

Even though there is not much backreading there is enough backreading to make it a bit much (the whirling dervish of sentence construction).

I was going to say ‘what does bid pin mean?’ - but logically I guess it’s from when they were bidding for the Olympics.

Like I said yesterday, they recently got a bit of flak for refusing to have the torch, but good on ‘em says I. It had a nicer feel to the Nikko temple.

I bought some yummy pickles (including mushrooms), and I ate a buckwheat icecream just for Mishee. Couldn’t bring myself to try the miso icecream. They are novelty items in the area - just tastes like a normal soft cream, really, with a hint of the other taste.

Went to a temple in Nagano today. One year it is run by an abottess the other year by a monk. Very interesting, as most major religions traditionally do not have such an influential female element.

It’s usually busier once school is out. Fall and pre-Christmas are typically the busiest time of year. We definitely do not have the occupancy we had pre-9/11. Part of that, I think, is fewer business travellers due to less business travel in general due to technology like teleconferencing, fewer businesses in our immediate vicinity, and several newer chain hotels built nearby close to the freeway. We are also seeing fewer tourists as well, not sure of the underlying reasons behind that. Lesser Podunk is certainly less of a Tourist Trap than it used to be ten years ago.

And Wade, don’t underestimate me. I am a woman of many talents. :P

I’m baking. Since I did not work yesterday, I don’t have a lot to do because yesterday’s baker is a lot more into pre-planning than me and already has the fruit cut up, etc. for me. Plus, only 15 people today, very slow.

I won’t comment on the main thread, due to the fact that I am a crazy animal lover. I have not yet broken out the windows of anyone’s car, but I have numerous times chased down mall security about dogs locked in cars, who generally then go and have the owners paged. I like to stick around and glare disapprovingly at the offending owners when they finally come out to their car. I’m way to P/A to actually say anything, though. I leave that to the shop cops. It has never taken less than 10 minutes before the owner has come back, and who knows how long the dog was in the car before I saw it?
