Oh, there’s many a story I could tell about crazy, let’s call him, Robert. He wasn’t the reason I left, btw, and my experience was mostly good. I’m still in touch with students and teachers. I outlasted him, though from day 1 (oh well, about day 5, after saying no I didn’t really feel that way about him) he did threaten me with ‘bringing me down’ if I did anything to get in his way, workwise (as I was overly ambitious, coniving and so on)… not that I ever thought about it. I just thought I’d let him dig his own grave, and he did. Ah well, there are many lost souls wandering the halls of ESL.

I guess (((Ames))) is sorting things out with Wes. Maybe we won’t see her for a while. I hope things are clearing up for her. But Zb, not that she’s day crew. Did she say she was taking time off?

I need to sign out, Wade. Though I will check that answer if you have it. Gotta do some work.

Maybe glo and polly are having a game of kettle. I love that rhyme. Glo’s name is closs to Sukie.

Have a good day, my friend, even if (or especially as) it is limited to home. ♥

    -2 ° brrrr.

He lost his job, eventually. He apparently pulled similar stunts in past jobs, he converted and so he just ended up sitting his days out in his office, but Oman didn’t fall for it.

He was in need of some help. I don’t think he ever got it. He didn’t like women, and was very paranoid. Work gave him credit because they said it was cultural, but it wasn’t (he was American). He’d tell me off if I directed the taxi drivers, but if I left it up to him we didn’t get anywhere, or we would have ended up in the capital 300km away… And no, we weren’t a couple, but he kind of decided at a certain point that we were. He stood for 20 minutes just staring at one of my colleagues (a male) one day, trying to intimidate him…I wonder which country he’s bouncing around in now.

well my pimple is slightly deflated, and for that I give thanks to my pincer like squeezing skills, which are actaully pretty unrefined.

My mother’s uncles on my granmother’s side fought in WW1, but her father fought in WW2, though I think he was in his 30s.

And Wade world?…the job chasing uppering seems time consuming. My students are doing well, but I’ve been losing a bit of momentum of late. Just mid-sememster and all.

That’s the one. Yes, and that’s what I figured, too. And I wondered how long it would take me to get annoyed with him, or if I would just adore him. Reminded me of a slightly crazy (actually bonkers, and not in a good way, I think Freeman might be only slightly crazy) guy I worked with in Oman, who would act out the scenes from “Romeo and Juliet” to get across his point, or was it “Hamlet”? Lying on the floor of the cafeteria in his death throes.

Rememberance Day in Oz, too, the 11th minute of the 11th hour on the 11th day, and so on. We used to do that at school, and the RSL still sell poppies (symbolising Flanders, I think), but it was so long ago for most people now.

Yesterday was cold, windy and looked like rain but it never did. I must be mental because I enjoyed it.
