Beat me - was just going to post I see you holding that kitty, holding that kitty

    zb’s blog is v funny.

My ride was wonderful. 4 hours, or maybe 3.5 - 24ks thereabouts, and another 2 k home, I think. However, a friend intended to go bicycle riding 100k yesterday. Lordy - I’ll post the imperial in a few minutes. Strange that a non colony uses imperial, hey? I’m sure the irony has been used before, and would not at all be lost on you… :)

How are you doll? The morning treating you okay?

Re: spider veins, aka telangiectasia (448.1), Wade is correct. Small varicose veins, more properly distended capillaries in this case.
Treatment usually entails cauterization but some insurers consider spider vein treatment to be cosmetic.
You know how we can be about functionality! If it ain’t broke we don’t pay to fix it. :-D

Had a wonderful afternoon/evening. Hope you are feeling okay. I have to run to the store now, which I should have been smart enough to do on the way home. May stop back in when I get back.

Hey, anyone around? The weather is splendiferous here today. I should bike ride it later. Have been for a swim.

Re: cycle helmets, they are compulsory in Oz, and it gets damn hot sometimes - you don’t always want to wear them, though they are a good idea. Here, people ride their bicycles all the time - no helmets. I’m sure bad accidents happen, sometimes, though, it seems we do a lot to discourage people to use alternative transport.

Amyd: backread a little: teenagers and their moms. Last year my daughter competed in this scholarship thingie that included one night of extemporary speeches. Each of the twenty or so kids were given a topic, one minute to think and then speak. No matter what the topic, each kid hit the same two high notes: Mahatma Gandhi and my mom.

Take home message from all this too much writing (slightly drunk = overly wordy?): teens know moms are important, even when they act like they don’t.
