There was something else I thought the phone might have, but can’t remember it now.

I know what you mean, ‘glo. Like when you discover a wonderful song, it gets high rotation, and you can’t stand it any more.

And, with that, my loverly uvelies, I best be off to bed.

Glo, I hope you have the afternoon off so you can do your own thing, or hang out with the motorcycle (and have a great day). Amy, you have a great day, too!

Oh, now I remember on the phone - it has options for what type of pic you are taking - against the sun, portrait, low light, etc. That’s handy, too, though I haven’t really noticed a difference.

That’s actually what I thought you meant, but then your comment said something about asking their permission, so then I thought I was way off base. Oh, I see now. You said you were too self-conscious to ask them. Now, it all makes sense you big white foreign turd! (jokes)

That’s a funny expression. I may try to work it into “normal” conversation today :)

Moral dilemma with taking photos of people without them knowing it ;)

I’ve seen photos of myself looking like big white foreign turd at festivals and that kind of thing where people took my photo because I was different, yet I didn’t know them from Adam…

I really like candid shots, but I feel too rude to take them (if I had the camera to do so).

Yeah, I hate it when a perfectly good poem is ruined by overuse and over-simplification. I have another Robert Frost in the pipeline, though, one of my favorites. I’m waiting to get a good pic to go with it.

I’d be a bit scared of it being associated with that self-help book by Peck. But, well, a classic is a classic…

Something must be rubbing off, eh, Amy? Finding that macro button improved things incredibly!

Plus, Spring is very pretty - there are so many winsome subjects out there.

I would have really liked to have taken some photos of the women and families out planting the rice over the last few days, but I would feel too self-conscious asking them, and they were definitely too far away to get a good shot with the mobile. Also, even though I like looking at photos that are taken like that, I have a bit of a moral issue with taking them myself.

I have been wanting to use the Robert Frost several times, rose, because it seems to coincide with my life right now, but I’ve been resisting it because it’s, well, too obvious! Great minds, eh?

And will you put up a Robert Frost poem with it ‘glo? Or would that be too obvious?

    And thank you.

Fact of the matter is that I’m often too lazy to get close enough to the ground to get a good perspective

What, you want me to get off my bike and shoot this? Who do ya think I am? Annie Leibowitz? Not that I see her taking too many nature shots…

Flickr is the thing most responsible for this wrist. I’ve had a great weekend so far. Fri to Tues are holidays, and I visited the temple Fri, went for the huge bike ride yesterday, and just a smaller bike ride today to the park where I took that pic.

The weather is heavenly. I have to plant out a few plants tomorrow. All is good. Though I would like to have done a bit more housework!

I admire the relationship she has with her husband (he was the one who had the bypass surgery a few months ago, he’s doing great and went back to work this week, looking better than I’ve ever seen him), so I was picking her brain a bit, and she loves to give advice. Has a lot of common sense relationship-wise.

My biggest example when I was a kid was this neighbour Jeff.
He had all these 57 Chevy parts laying out on the lawn and the frame and tank to his Bike all the time.
But that man had a great value system…
He’d tell me I needed to clean up my mouth and stop talking like a sailor cause no one would respect me that way, but gave me a raincoat on my way to school cause I didn’t have one…He didn’t want me getting sick cause it wouldn’t do me any good.

Or If I could pick my dad I would want this person to be him…
Kind’a weird I guess, but it gave me someones example to follow and I’m glad I had that, cause who know’s…It helps though, so I can be that for my son…someone to look up to.

About the Genius of Sheboygan, Wade, I can only say, WTF. There is no other response. If I knew her personally, I would like to step on her ears wearing cleats, but what else can you do but shake your head?

I would consider getting Lasik if I had the money to spend. It would be so nice to see what time it is when I wake up in the middle of the night without having to put my glasses on. Yes, I have a clock radio with the BIG numbers. No go.

I don’t dye my hair, but luckily most of the grey is coming in under the top layer of blondish and lightening up the more mousy under layer.

Being a shrimp myself, CB (5′1″, in case you missed the earlier discussion), I have never gunned for the taller guys. Not that I have anything against height. It’s really never been a priority in what I consider attractive in a man, one way or another.

Being one of the black-haired, or brunette, anyway (just reference to the MT ) my greys have been showing up since I was 16. I think if I didn’t dye now (about once every 4 weeks) I’d be pretty grey all over. I don’t picture myself that way.

I used to dye for fun, now… *sigh*

I went grey for a while, but everyone guessed my age correctly so I stopped! Plus, grey for me is more like a bit of white hair someone accidently dipped into oil. None of this groovy salt and pepper stuff.

My mom and sister are 5-1, my brother 5-6.5 and my dad is about 5-7. They have all of the other attributes, muscles for the men, you know for the women, and I got some height.
Of course they are all gray-haired and I have yet to experience that at 46, so I’ll take the trade-off.

No eye for detail here, Wade… should have been obvious.

A Scottish friend in Oman got eye laser surgery incredibly cheap (no taxes)… just gotta change your location and vocation I guess.

She doesn’t wear glasses or contacts now.

Funny thing is that I was always the shortest kid in class. I grew 10 inches between 9th and 11th grades and boy did my knees pay the price!
I still think I’m short until I’m in a room full of people.
    *shut up, wade*

I tell Crash he is the right height for me and he goes back into real life *sigh*

Long legs, okay shaped arms - not too many problems here…

There are two wacked-out people in that story. Why did you post it for Glo and UHG, Wade? I haven’t backread everything yet, so maybe I’ll find out.

Day was good. Nice swim. Weather is good. Am going to plant out some lobelia and lavender.

Hey CB. Long time, no chat.

Airplane seating is only comfortable if you’re one metre tall (3′2) in my opinion…

I never thought of it that way, Gigantor! LOL
I always pictured you as about 5-9 to 5-11 and bureaucratic.
