    Good going!

  • #47391  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 6:20 pm

    *sigh*

  • #47390  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 5:43 pm

when you finally get home we are gonna have to meet somewhere in between - like, even Millbrae or something (I am in Sunnyvale)… I haven’t even been back to The City since I moved home a little over a year ago.

It would be cool to go to some internet cafe and log on here and mess with people… plus making plans for toturing mothers!! :D

As much as I miss it, I wouldn’t want to try to navigate it in my 1984 Volvo Station Wagon (standard transmission - I just don’t take stick shifts to The City!!)

  • #47389  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 5:39 pm

No prob! I personally don’t think I have the eye for that kind of photography (I have been trained in portraits and taking pics of people) but I like to think I can at least appreciate the other type…

Hell, I appreciate the hell out of what Stevie Nicks can do, doesn’t mean I can do it myself!! (Even if I wish I could!!) ;)

  • #47388  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 5:20 pm

    thank you so much!!!
its what im trying to do, photography, that is. ive done two small gallery shows down here in san diego with photography and little light installations…but no one cared except my friends. this is not a place for art unless you think lift kits are art…

  • #47387  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 5:08 pm

    those are some good pics…

I like to fancy myself an ameteur photographer of sorts but I am sure I am just fooling myself. Plus I don’t have any pics to show for it, so I think that was my first clue!

  • #47386  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 5:02 pm

yeah, it is. the rest of my flickr is arty stuff that i took in SF.

  • #47385  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 4:59 pm

    MMMMM, is that a Weinerschnizel??

Some chili fries sound DAMN good right now!! :D

    Not p/a.
Just really, really funny. I put it in my flickr just for you, Mishee. I took this yesterday while the Mister and I were walking to get some pho.

  • #47383  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 4:43 pm

yeah, PAN is why I carry my camera with me all over now…

I wouldn’t have been able to take it down except my friends who worked there were both managers, so I made them do it!! :D

The funny part is Dianna put it back up when we were done taking pics!! LOL!

  • #47382  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 4:36 pm

i think i sent it about…three weeks ago? and yeah, i loved your note. when i found PAN i read everything..which is why i read for about three days before posting comments. i wish i had taken a picture of it because it might be a california thing…but i saw a sign at rite-aide recently that said: “its pretty gross to take drinks in the bathromm! you should take them home and uze the bathroom! we r watching you and ur drinks”. i went back the next day to take a picture and the note was gone. i swear i almost cried.

  • #47381  unholyghost2003 on May 5, 2008 at 4:35 pm

sorry, I’m in and out … the beautiful day has just been SCREAMING at me to sit outside with my book, I of course agree, but only a FEW pages … next thing you know a chapter is gone and the better part of the afternoon has flown

CB, I think Z is a non-traditional student, I seem to recall her saying that one of her children is considering taking the GED instead of graduating HS

  • #47380  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 4:25 pm

yeah, she may get to it soon - sometimes I think it takes her a couple days to get stuff ready. How long ago did you submit?

I don’t know how far back you went when you discovered PAN, but here’s mine, it was pretty interesting…

    http://www.passiveaggressivenotes.com/2008/01/12/or-possilly-that-no-body-b-there/#more-532

  • #47379  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 4:20 pm

hmm…good tip. i hope it was worthy. if not, i will flickr it. its damn good. it involves clip art, horrendous spelling and weeeeeird obsessions with diabetic-friendly food.

  • #47378  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 4:14 pm

I submitted one and it was posted within a few days, but I am kinda annoying and I kept hinting to Kerry in here that I was waiting for it to be posted… plus PAN has really seemed to have grown alot since then, so Kerry might have more than she can handle in a day or two now…

The other one I submitted didn’t make the cut I guess. Then there are ones that’s aren’t exactly P/A (by far) but still need to be shared…
    Like this one

You can always upload it to flickr and share it with us here if you don’t think it’s gonna be posted!!

  • #47377  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 4:01 pm

hey- i have a question for you guys. do you know how long it takes to get a note posted? i submitted an amazing P/A voyage with a woman in my office….you’re going to love it, they are absolutely ridiculous notes. just wondering if anyone here as gotten one of their little P/A gems posted and how long it took…*not being passive-aggressive, really wondering*

  • #47376  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 3:59 pm

Wow, that Cinco De Mayo potluck was yummy! Too much good food!!!

    Anyone still around??

Guess so - RB, still killin’ me…

Gotta go run and smoke, be back all!

  • #47375  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 3:59 pm

Bad dream is having to wear adult diapers. A nightmare is having to wear adult diapers filled with warm oatmeal and sand that are changed every hour by a nude Rip Taylor…with his confetti cannon.

  • #47374  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 3:13 pm

What’s the difference between a bad dream and a nightmare???

  • #47373  secondsout on May 5, 2008 at 3:04 pm

Fantastic, my new favorite poster RunBarbara is moving to my city! I can just see the scene, where we run into each other drunk at a bar somewhere, loudly talking about our favorite websites, mention PAN, and have that “wait, you! I know you, but online” total dork moment.

  • #47372  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 3:02 pm

You and Mishee should get on well, RB. You both…have many words to share…in a California kind of way…

  • #47371  fantasy on May 5, 2008 at 2:57 pm

I think no one is home but me. :| I just got here.

How are you doing this afternoon?

You can backread and I tell you I had the best nap! ;)

  • #47370  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 2:55 pm

Hi RB, You’ve found the inner sanctum of PAN! :-D
Please keep the keys to the kingdom close and do not give directions to this house on the main thread.
G-Man was youngest, fantasy, but I think ZB may be a student and am not sure of her age. Newbies have not been properly introduced of late. :-(

  • #47369  fantasy on May 5, 2008 at 2:55 pm

Ghosty are you still here? :D

CB Thank-You for the music. That is why you lost me. I laid my head down just to listen and I woke up *with drool on my face* feeling just so tired had to take a nap and then I hobbled to the shower. Thanks for the old memories that attach themselves to songs. :)

  • #47368  fantasy on May 5, 2008 at 2:49 pm

Oh Boy, we have company! Hi, RB I am fantasy, yep, I guess that is what it says,

I am the title holder of being the “oldest” of us who live here at TMHQ!

I think Ghosty is the youngest, I know I have chilren older than most that are in here! Keeps me young!

I am also computer illiterate and these folks help me learn so much. Sometimes more than once. *i tend to forget, if too much is thrown at me at once*.

Right now I am a personal trainer at a gym, but I am facing back surgery so I may be changing jobs or quitting all together. :D

    WELCOME! ♥

  • #47367  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 2:31 pm

aww, thank you…it sure is nice to have something to do at work.
    when i should be working.
    but im not.
and im filling out birthday cards for co-workers.
    and thinking about lunch.

  • #47366  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 2:30 pm

RB you are gonna get me either FIRED or blocked from using the net at work!! I gotta go to a potluck, be back in a little while!!

(Glad you came over to the dark side, I enjoy everything you have to say in the main threads, so I think you will be a great addition to TMHQ!!)

  • #47365  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 2:28 pm

Last Mother’s Day I scheduled an in-home demo for The Scamp (that scooter for old people) at my Mom’s house….for three hours. She had no idea it was coming. First thing Sunday morning (yes, they come out on Sundays) my Mom gets a knock on the door, still in a bathrobe, and is greeted with: “GOOD MORNING!! We are here to open a world of transportation to you! Are you ready?”. My family is big on practical jokes.
And yes, Mishee, we should get together. Zeitgeist on a Sunday? Tamales? Rob Zombie on the juke box?

  • #47364  unholyghost2003 on May 5, 2008 at 2:26 pm

Oh! it is time once again for us white folk to usurp the history of another culture for an excuse to drink … I mean Happy Cinco Di Mayo!

  • #47363  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 2:22 pm

well RB when you finally get home we should get together and have a coffee and talk about more inventive ways to torture our mothers!!! :D it could be fun!

  • #47362  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 2:18 pm

    RB, you are killing me!

My friend Andrew does the toilet flush thing on my other friend’s voicemail when she doesn’t pick up!

But then again, this is the guy who used to insist I order our drive-thru meal “To Go”

  • #47361  unholyghost2003 on May 5, 2008 at 2:16 pm

RB you do terrible things to your mother … VERY FUNNY! Though the poor lady must think she is going out of her head

  • #47360  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 2:05 pm

HAHAHAH! Im glad you like the mom prank call. Here are some good ideas:
    1. Flush the toilet. A lot. Call her, wait till she says hello, then flush. Keep doing it.
    2. Fart noises with the mouth are a total classic.
    3. Getting your husband to do his best Sharon Osbourne impression and ask your mom if she “wants to see ozzy do the big pants dance!”
My mom talks my ear off about these horrible prank calls she gets, she’s even changed her number twice. One time, I called and did that computer voice text thing (the one that sounds like Steven Hawking) and said: “You changed your number. Do you like ice cream?” (toilet flush).

  • #47359  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 2:01 pm

When I moved to the mission, it was because the apartment was amazing. It was a two bedroom with parking, a real kitchen, no bugs and it was only $950 a month (its like the holy grail of real estate). It was pretty close to Kilowatt and very quiet. I loved it. I would prefer to live in the castro or upper haight or even noe valley…

  • #47358  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 1:58 pm

OMFG RB, I am TOTALLY gonna start doing *67 and prank call my mother too!!! That’s an outstanding idea!! :D ROFLMAO!

  • #47357  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 1:57 pm

I don’t know if you would really want to go back to the Mission either… or why you would’ve gone there in the first place! One time Mr. Mishee got stuck on an “expedition” with a strung out friend of his, the guy left him on 16th and Mission for about 3 hours at 11pm on a Fri or Sat night…

Mr. Mishee had some stories to tell me the next day, I’ll tell you that much! (As I am totally sure you can imagine!)

  • #47356  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 1:55 pm

I lived in the mission for two years, moved back to San Diego (suuuuch a bad idea) and now I have to return. Every time we get close to saving up enough, my husband loses his job. He is a designer and the work down here is not steady AT ALL. I keep telling him: “San Francisco is the promised land. We can both work. We can go to Memphis Minnies. We can see all of my real friends. We don’t need to be stuck in the land of flip-flops and baseball caps. I can finally get into a real gallery. Lets move.”
I dont care where I live as long as its not the Tenderloin.

  • #47355  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 1:51 pm

yay! My new bestest friend RB is moving close to me!!! :)

Have you settled on an actual suburb or are you going right into the belly of the beast Barb?

BTW, welcome to the Crazy Bay in advance!

Also, for job searching up here, it is a MUST to post your resume on craigslist. That seems to be where I get 99% of my job calls, even if they are for contracting, at least people see me there!

  • #47354  Wade on May 5, 2008 at 1:48 pm

though saddened by the lack of an homage to the king, i am awed by the depth and range of your collection of the velvet arts.

i mean, the last supper, kittens, clowns and iron maiden!!

are you moving to SF whether you have a job or not?

  • #47352  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 1:45 pm

No, they dont. I have a german shepard, two kittens playing with yarn, a topless mermaid, a unicorn, Ronnie James Dio (I did that one myself because I COULDNT resist), the cover of Iron Maiden’s Killers (another did-it-myself), a last supper and a set of three sad clowns. They are wonderful to behold.

  • #47351  Wade on May 5, 2008 at 1:42 pm

I live in an apartment. This apartment is in San Diego. In my apartment you will find the following:
    1. Two cats (that are treated like children apart from the diapering and breast feeding)
    2. My husband
    3. A large collection of velvet paintings
You will also find moving boxes as I am planning on moving to San Francisco soon. The moving boxes are incentive to look for a job up there.

    See you guys later!

  • #47340  amy d on May 5, 2008 at 12:57 pm

    Thanks Mish ♥

    Here’s mine:

Your sun sign is Gemini, your ascendant is in Cancer and your Moon is in Cancer.Your personality comes under the influence of the Moon which indicates one who is attached to the comforts of home life. You are friendly in manner and gesture. You are highly sensitive to nature and your surroundings. You should be careful not to fall under the influence of other people so easily.

You have the capacity to escape the confines of self and empathize fully with the feelings of others. The Moon in Cancer always creates a personality overflowing with sensitivity and emotions.

Coming under the influence of the Sun in Gemini, your core is intellectual, seemingly in opposition to your personality. Internally you are less emotional than appears by the role you have assumed in society. You need to have more determination and self-reliance in whatever you do.

I am the Queen of Determination and Self-Reliance. I don’t know what they are tlaking about there.

I need to find the cord for my camera so I can show you guys some pics of the new one… she’s so cute. I am trying to think of a “feminine” alien name since her eyes make her look like one! Otherwise we may just call her E.T.

Hmm, interesting, Mishee. I think perhaps your internet persona sometimes masks the true you, am I correct? :)

“You are at ease in situations in which it is necessary to conform to authority and discipline.” ???

  • #47322  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 11:31 am

    Fine! Here it is!!

This astrological combination indicates an ambitious nature and an inclination to seek the limelight of leadership. Because you have the abilities to concentrate, conserve, and persevere, you make the perfect organizer. “What can you do for me” is a question you frequently ask. However, utilitarian standards are certainly not the ultimate criteria of judgment for you. Your most conscious aim in life is to achieve integrity, and even your ambitions must conform to this aim. You are at ease in situations in which it is necessary to conform to authority and discipline.
(that’s bullshit) Your Sun and Moon positions could bring you into prominence. The key to a more harmonious existence lies in tempering your self-assertive and egotistical tendencies, which can come between you and the fulfillment of your ambitions.

You are a person of extremes, very sensitive and desirous of attachment. There is some attraction to the occult or to psychic phenomena. You are active in the sense that there is a psychological struggle going on inside you between the positive and negative poles-those of affirming and satisfying or rejecting and repressing. You are very intense in your feelings and remain passionately attached to the person you love. Similarly, when you dislike someone you are very fixed in that feeling. However, there is room for optimism in that: whatever type of Scorpio you may happen to be, there exists a desire deep in your inner self for psychic regeneration.

You have a personal chemistry that never fails to stimulate people to be friendly toward you. No one should feel any discomfort with you because you project yourself freely and honestly.
You relate easily to all types of people and are friendly to everyone, regardless of their social status.
Concerned primarily with the future, you are eager to participate in the development of a higher consciousness, which will be the nucleus for the greater awareness of man.

    There ya go….

  • #47321  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 11:30 am

You might not get to work, but you’ll be out of traffic in no time! :-D

Damn you PANGolins and your references which cause me to Wikipedia stuff!

At least now I know what religion I am gonna go with…. :D

Yeah, I will get mine up. I think the first little blurb is the most correct with all I have seen. Of course none of them are gonna be 100% right on, but the generalities of the personality seem to match!

Glad you are safe, Wade. I hope you kicked Monday in the family jewels in response?

  • #47315  anglophile on May 5, 2008 at 11:23 am

What they had to say about my sex life was wrong, too, CB. I’m not going to say in what way, however! :P

    sitting in traffic
    chopper hovering o’erhead

    :P

hey all. sorry i’m late. i think there was a house fire next to my route into dc. had to be creative.

then monday hit me in the face

    hope you are all well

You should post yours, Mishee. Mine was pretty much right except for the being free and spontaneous. I can sometimes be spontaneous, but I also like to think and plan ahead in a lot of circumstances.

  • #47312  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 11:21 am

you had the right county, Mishee. I’m sure it didn’t make any difference that you used Orange instead of Summit, NJ.

Lots was correct, on the button in fact, but some was completely not me…quick and to the point in love-making? I think not!! I’m a slow, spiritual lover. I feel what she likes and give her what she is willing to receive.

  • #47311  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 11:15 am

glo, I agree, that’s what really popped out at me, and the end part regarding death…

that’s weird how right that was, and I don’t even know if I had the right place of birth and we guessed on the time!! :D

  • #47310  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 11:12 am

Blasphemer? Me? I’d never say anything against the FSM!!!

  • #47309  anglophile on May 5, 2008 at 11:08 am

I especially enjoyed the downright blasphemous bit, CB!

    *twinkly eyes*

  • #47308  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 11:06 am

    I know, Mish…Me? Revenge? 8-O

  • #47307  fantasy on May 5, 2008 at 11:00 am

Kind of funny, Hubby has the same birth date different year. Both of us were born in the evening? hhhmmm.

  • #47306  Mishee on May 5, 2008 at 10:59 am

yeah CB - that doesn’t sound like you at ALL!

  • #47305  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 10:58 am

Well, I just don’t know who they could be describing there, ‘Glo! ROTFL

That last part sounded like someone I know pretty well though…hmmm?

  • #47304  fantasy on May 5, 2008 at 10:57 am

This is part of what Mine said, but I guessed at the time of birth, This is the part I found funny considering…..♥ How much thought did I use?

You will proceed with prudence in your love life and in all other activities. You will seriously consider all of the ramifications of a relationship, especially the aspects of your independence, and you will not commit yourself to a partner until you are sure of your choice. After that however there is a tendency to conduct a peaceful and quiet life.

In a way it is true I was not your typical 15 year old. ROFLAO

I forgot it also said, “I would Regret Nothing”! ROFLAO

That horoscope thing is actually kinda spooky now that I’ve seen a few…

  • #47302  anglophile on May 5, 2008 at 10:44 am

*hopes Wade’s continued absence is because he had no time to log in upon getting to the office and not because he is still stuck in traffic*

    LMAO at CB’s horoscope!

  • #47301  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 10:44 am

Sun in Libra, Moon in Scorpio

These astrological positions indicate a clever and shrewd personality. You tend to be aggressive and are often downright blasphemous. When crossed you wreak revenge in full measure. You relish displaying your wit and knowledge and make a point of telling others of your various successes and victories. These shows of your achievement, however, are to your detriment because they earn you the ill will of others. You lean toward the darker sides of life, and your imagination can be morbid. You are fascinated by the mysterious, malignant forces in the universe. A nocturnal individual, your thoughts often turn to death, finalities, and the mysteries of life after death.
