    I think.

Crash– she is better. took 3 months (with only a 3 day hospital trip) for her to get back to driving. Took 4 weeks for her to bend over without throwing up tho. We think her short term memory and visual cortex were affected the most. Bigger glasses and lots of Brain Age and Soduku for now. Thanks for asking

  • #47498  Canthz_B on May 6, 2008 at 1:18 am

The right fit will come my way, Zsa.
I have to know that to keep on keeping on! ;-)
Thanks for the kick in the pants…I love those from time to time.

    How is she now ?

  • #47494  Zsa on May 6, 2008 at 1:11 am

  • #47493  Zsa on May 6, 2008 at 1:09 am

no biggie Crash~ We talked a bit here and there before your crash. I chatted a bit with Gwenn (about my Mom’s bleeding concussion) while you were out of service too.

Hey Crash– how is the head?

  • #47484  Crash on May 6, 2008 at 12:55 am

    Ya’
I like to call it home.
Clean air, smells like trees, giant deer you can see in the yard sometimes…quiet too, muddy back roads, small town, family orientated, and so on…
    Nice place, good people.
But it’s expanding fast, don’t like that much… though.

  • #47483  secondsout on May 6, 2008 at 12:54 am

    yeah, dude, anything goes.

  • #47482  Zsa on May 6, 2008 at 12:53 am

Ahhh… that reminds me of the time I brought our German Exchange student to San Francisco on Gay Pride Day. The naked guy in the Dr. Seuss top hat made me drive North and start in Half Moon Bay. By noon they wear themselves out and end up passed out at Pier 49. ahhh the memories. I love SF

  • #47481  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:51 am

    Yes, in the streets.
Naked people. People half naked wearing plastic pig snouts and curly tails (I’ll let you image where they put them). Grown men in diapers. Grown women in full fetish wear. Grown men dressed as grown women. Its really awesome to see such diversity, even if it’s not your scene.
Its not illegal, per say, but people in SF tend to be very grown up about things. They can get drunk, screw and still be respectful of who is around them…which is why they have designated places for such activity. I went there for work three years in a row and thought it was really cool how mature people could be about their sexuality.
    .
    .
Although someone did jerk off out their window and it landed three inches from my feet…that wasn’t so fun.

  • #47480  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:47 am

Crash, do you like Oregon? Two friends of mine have been trying to get me to move up there but Im a California person. Even though San Diego is loathsome, San Francisco is (pardon the cliche) where I left my heart.

  • #47479  Crash on May 6, 2008 at 12:47 am

    True…true,
    But a pregnant guy…C’mon…That’s freeky…maybe a little sci-fi ,
    I don’t know…

    And REALLY !?!
    In the streets ???
Ya’ it’ed be hard to faze anyone after that…
    Holy shit !!
    I couldn’t survive there man.
    REALLY !?!
    Is that legal there ???

  • #47478  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:45 am

    ohgodohgodohgod.
    Folsom Street Fair.
    Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
It is a sight to be seen, indeed. Go with an open mind, a full memory card and a lot of hand sanitizer.

  • #47477  secondsout on May 6, 2008 at 12:40 am

Crash, the Folsom Street Fair that RB mentioned earlier is quite an eye-opener. It’s this street fair for the leather/fetish scene, and involves 400,000 people dressed in leather, spikes, totally naked, people getting flogged, people blowing each other on the street corner, etc. Apparently it’s a big scene for people to fuck in the portapotties.

I like to think that nothing will faze me anymore.

  • #47476  Crash on May 6, 2008 at 12:39 am

    Ya’…
He was really a she at one point though but is legally a male now who kept the reproductive organs and…is pregnant with a baby.
They were on Oprah I guess a while back.
But lot’s of people hang out around their house wanting pictures.
I live in Bend Oregon btw…Originally from CA though.

  • #47475  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:35 am

Im here. Im editing photos for zee art show this weekend.
And by pregnant guy, do you mean with a baby?

  • #47474  Crash on May 6, 2008 at 12:33 am

    Awww man…

    Secondsout,
We got a pregnant guy up here…I bet that beats anything you’d seen in S.F.
And I’ve herd about the men in lingari (sp ?) on the street corners…

    Beer though…
I love, but I’m on restriction from it for now.

  • #47470  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:17 am

Well, CB, I read back quite a ways before I posted. I didnt notice any pattern, I didnt notice anything forbidden (except being overtly rude to people) so I thought it was okay to get to know someone through back and forth conversation. It wasn’t all that long.
I cant just jump right in to personal conversations, I have to warm up.
I know this isnt the main thread. That is the place where I try to keep my comments focused on the note or jokes surrounding it, right? Right.
I see where you’re coming from and Im not here to ruin your dynamic. Just give me a break, okay?

  • #47469  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:14 am

Ha! This is where we find out how we are different and learn to appreciate the beauty of one another and become friends in spite of our preferences, second. If it was an after school special it would be called “You and Me, Kid”
You may call me a heathen but…I loathe beer. It just makes me feel so urpy and awful.
    I also dont like arguing.
    I also dont like mayonnaise.

  • #47468  Canthz_B on May 6, 2008 at 12:12 am

Not trying to be the boss of you, RB…just asking you to respect this place and use it as it has been used in the past.
This is not the main thread.

  • #47467  secondsout on May 6, 2008 at 12:11 am

Not here for an argument? If there’s one thing I love (next to a beer), it’s an argument.

Actually, my first posting on TMHQ was an argument. CB had posted some comment naming me specifically and suggesting that people like me should do some studying before spouting off. That sort of thing got my hackles up and I jumped in swinging. I imagine that everyone else on TMHQ must have wondered, “who the hell is this nerd?”

  • #47466  Crash on May 6, 2008 at 12:10 am

    Ya’,
There used to be this fart button that would show up on the google ad’s every once in a while.
But no one else ever saw it…
    Funny thing.

  • #47465  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:07 am

    Thanks, Crash.
I didnt come on to PAN and just jump right into this area, I waited a few weeks before I even posted a note in the main area and even longer before I came here. Im really wary with online communities, I met my husband in one and there was some ridiculous drama. I got kind of shy about them and haven’t really been in one since.
I have NOTHING against CB, like I said- I read parts of his blog and found it to be very interesting.
I am not here to just be retarded and make fart jokes, honestly…but…it IS a humorous website and I didn’t see anything wrong with casual conversation (especially when Im just getting to know people).
Thanks for being nice to me, everyone has been really welcoming. I look forward to getting to know all of you, too.

  • #47464  Crash on May 6, 2008 at 12:03 am

I understand that TMHQ is a place where people go and talk with firends, for some it’s also an escape or a break from IRL and daily stresses…
And when something familiar changes it makes people uncomfortable to a degree.
Or accepting new people can be uncomfortable for some too.
There have been some people come in here that just like to stirr shit up,
I don’t see you like that RunBarbara.

I have A LOT of respect for you C.B…
You’re someone I look up to, and I know I can too.

    RunBarbara,
I look forward to getting to know you,
I think a few other people do too…

  • #47463  RunBarbara on May 6, 2008 at 12:00 am

If they want emo, I can bring some emo. I have bangs in my eyes, really tight jeans and a whole play list of Reggie and The Full Effect in the wings…
Thanks, 2nd. Im really not here to get into arguments.

  • #47462  secondsout on May 5, 2008 at 11:56 pm

RB, I’d just let it go. You can post whatever you want here. The TMHQ needs a breath of levity at times, IMO. I often don’t comment because the conversation is a little too personal and emo for my taste. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, just not my style. I come to PAN for laughs.

And welcome, anyway. I meant what I said about you being my new favorite poster. Your shit is pretty funny. I nearly choked when i read your comment that you met your husband when he was notifying the neighbors about being a pederast.

  • #47461  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 11:50 pm

CB, you bring to mind a phrase that I haven’t used in quite a while…”You aren’t the boss of me.”
    Immature? Yes.
This is my first day in TMHQ and unfortunately you weren’t here to clue me in to the proper way to post here. Oops. I didn’t know I needed to check before I started a conversation with someone.
Maybe you should try getting to know me before you are hateful.

  • #47460  Crash on May 5, 2008 at 11:48 pm

    I don’t know…
I think bamBam was pretty obnoxiouse, and offencive.
More than anyone else I’d seen find their way in here.

  • #47459  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 11:45 pm

Thanks, Park Rose. I appreciate it.
Im really not here to upset anyone. I just think y’all are funny.
    Anyway.
    Whats everyone up to?

    Hey rose,
    How’s it going ?
    Have fun !

  • #47457  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 11:42 pm

You bring to mind a phrase I hate to use, RB…”Shut up!”
That bothers me because I don’t like to think that way. Truthfully, you are a pain to me.
Nothing personal, it’s just like that.
I like many of your comments, dislike many more.
Use a phone or personal email, or IM for your lengthy personal contacts, not tmhq.

  • #47456  park rose on May 5, 2008 at 11:40 pm

  • #47454  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 11:33 pm

What the fuck is your problem with me??!?!! Seriously. Because I type a lot of words that have little meaning to you? Because I don’t speak in pseudo poetry that I hope ends up looking cryptic and deep? Get over yourself! What part about “play nice with the new kids” didn’t you understand?

  • #47453  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 11:32 pm

RB belongs on the mains, Crash.
She has little to bring to the tmhq table…just babbles on, and on, and on…

  • #47452  Crash on May 5, 2008 at 11:32 pm

    Sleep well,
    And take care…
    I know you do too.

    Like this one.

    G’nite.

  • #47450  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 11:27 pm

I have no problem with CB, Ive always found him to be clever and I’ve enjoyed what I read of his blog.

  • #47449  Crash on May 5, 2008 at 11:25 pm

I have seen a few people find their way in here and found them to be really offensive…

    I kind’a think RunBarbara’s cool personaly,

And RunBarbara, C.B. is too, he’s good people.

And C.B., I’m really wondering if somethings wrong’
cause I never seen you that bothered before man.

Thanks for the advice, CB, but Im not too fond of giving my phone number to someone that I just met online. Additionally, WHY does it matter what we say here? Isnt this the place to bring off-topic conversations? Isnt this place for everybody? Just because Im new doesn’t mean Im not allowed to be here.

  • #47444  Crash on May 5, 2008 at 11:05 pm

RB - you could probably get away with the bathrobe/bowling alley thing - there are times when you can walk down the street in NOLA in your bathrobe and nobody blinks. i used to sit naked on my balcony, nobody ever made a BFD about it except the guy whose office window was directly across the way (he just waved and grinned at me every time)

  • #47442  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 11:01 pm

  • #47439  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 10:57 pm

you arent the first person to tell me about coops. i hope its still there. thanks again!!

  • #47438  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 10:55 pm

    I have two responses:
    1. If you were serious, Im sorry to have increased the number of chefs in your kitchen beyond your comfort level. I understand the desire to keep an online community intimate enough to know people, etc. However, I like posting here and I enjoyed talking to Mishee earlier. I don’t think we were obnoxious or typing just to see our own words, it was to be funny (kind of like a humorous website we all like…)
    2. If you were being sarcastic, then- HAHA! Good one. Totally got me! It takes me a while to get use to people’s typed sarcasm.

In any case, I like your postings on the notes and I hope you aren’t serious about your annoyance with my presence in the TMHQ. I might add, I was asked to come here by someone…

  • #47437  morpho aurora on May 5, 2008 at 10:53 pm

    RB - here ya go,
    helpful hints

if coops is still there, the burgers are good, huge and if you want it well done ya gotta say so. molly’s on the market used to make the best white russians, the grey cat had good music - it’s been awhile since i lived there so i’m sure a lot has changed. nothing beats sunday mornings at the cafe du monde in the quarter. beignets, coffee and music.

and you can get NASCAR drunk all you want thanks to the drive thru daquiri shops

  • #47436  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 10:51 pm

    Sarcasm? Me, RB? Never!!

  • #47435  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 10:48 pm

MA, we’re going to New Orleans. I haven’t been since a Hunter Thompsonesque road trip in college and the only thing I remember is falling asleep in a gutter and waking up with a pelican staring at me. Oh wait! I also remember a giant Jewish drag queen asking me to french braid her wig.
We were there for six days.
Any tips?? Besides, of course, not getting NASCAR drunk and lounging around in gutters…

  • #47434  morpho aurora on May 5, 2008 at 10:45 pm

RB - you are a sadistic evil woman (i really like that about you! :D ) i live way out in the boonies in Louisiana, have no idea where the closest trader joe’s is. but god, that chocolate sounds good - and chocolate advice is always appreciated.

crash - hmm, no - but i have had chocolate covered potato chips which were pretty good.

  • #47428  Crash on May 5, 2008 at 10:23 pm

You could go for mac n chocolate cheese…. :D

  • #47427  RunBarbara on May 5, 2008 at 10:21 pm

Hi, MA…I don’t know if you have a Trader Joe’s by where you live but I have to give you some totally unsolicited chocolate advice. They sell this chocolate called Le Serpent that is made by a family is France. It comes in little paper bags dusted with cinnamon, clove and vanilla powder that lightly flavors rich, amazing, hand-made chocolate. You can drop a piece of it into warm milk (soy is really good) and it makes an incredible drink. I have to mention it to pretty much everyone I talk to that likes chocolate…anyway, if you ever get the urge you should try it.

  • #47426  morpho aurora on May 5, 2008 at 10:20 pm

Crash, I’m so offended, I’m just beside myself, or, wait, I’m over it. NBD.

Thanks, CB. I put some effort into that one, and was proud of it. I similarly did a mockup of “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” for the lipstick on the spigot note. I was proud of it, but I took so long to do it, that by the time I posted, a new note was already up, and nobody was going to read it.

    Hey secondsout,
Forgot to say hi to you there…sorry ’bout that.
I’ll blame it on the shock of seeing amy d for that. ;)

  • #47412  secondsout on May 5, 2008 at 9:45 pm

Doing OK. I’m jumping on the new note before anyone steals my jokes. That’s the worst, getting to a note and finding that my best material has already been taken.

Why, CB, you aren’t plagiarizing my “original” poetry, are you?

  • #47407  amy d on May 5, 2008 at 9:22 pm

  • #47406  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 9:12 pm

  • #47405  amy d on May 5, 2008 at 9:04 pm

Yea, daddy, tell us a story about the olden times

Hey Crash, how are you feeling?

  • #47404  Crash on May 5, 2008 at 8:56 pm

    Sorry I left.
    Gwenn has dinner ready.
What was it like in the begining of TMHQ ?

  • #47403  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 8:21 pm

I’m ok, Crash…just missing the old tmhq days I guess.
Too many cooks spoil the soup in some respects.

  • #47402  Crash on May 5, 2008 at 8:16 pm

    How you doing C.B. ?
    :)

  • #47401  Canthz_B on May 5, 2008 at 8:07 pm

Just so much typing for the sake of seeing one’s words while the words say nothing.
Feeding off one another like a snowball rushing down hill…growing in size, speed…destructiveness!!
