we’re under tornado watch until 11
i’m sitting around waiting for the weather to ease up - not by choice, since this doesn’t bother me. BL called and told me not to try to come in for a bit because the rain is so bad and some of the streets in zachary are flooded - you would think people who have lived their entire lives in louisiana would be a little more accustomed to storms

MrUHG is the same way (IMO) he laughs when I accidentally grab his cup instead of my own. But he also likes his coffee SUPER STRONG … like 3x the amount of grounds suggested. He hasn’t made it like that at home since we first started living together. He very sweetly handed me a cup of coffee in bed, I took one sleepy sip and started screaming “WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME? IT IS POISON!” All I can figure is years of drinking factory coffee kills the taste buds.
amy, at least you got a little taste to keep off the shakes.

“Dry Heat” hmmm like my oven? 90 is hell to me. I don’t move. Remember, I lived in CA for a year.
Ah, I see about the coffee. I drink it because I love ALL my vices equally and no am coffee = VERY CRANKY Ghost. I happily spend more money to have good coffee but if we run out of the good stuff we have an emergency stash of Folgers that we add a tablespoon of Cinnamon to to make it not taste like crap. I don’t do sugar, and for YEARS didn’t even do milk, but now I add milk in a feeble attempt to stave off ulcers.
Hi amy!I’m good

so, my BFF called last night to tell me about an awesome website. Archive.org … it has great movies that are out of copyright. The two I saw last night are “Boys Beware” and “Girls Beware” … very funny in a “Reefer Madness” sort of way. They are 10min educational videos. Boys Beware is all about how boys should beware of the dangerous homosexual. The funny part is that after one boy is molested and reports the homosexual to the police (because ALL homosexuals are pedophiles of course) the boy gets probation. Then in Girls Beware after a lot of ‘babysit for strangers and your dried out corpse will be found in the desert’ and ‘accept rides from older boys you will be repeatedly raped’ then a girl gets an older boyfriend, she is date raped, becomes pregnant “and then it is too late for advice. She had to leave school and her parents had to turn her over to Youth Authority” So the morel of these stories seems to be If you are sexually abused TELL NO ONE or you will be arrested.

See, I am not a “coffee snob” per se, cause I don’t give a shit about the symantics of it, I just know what I like and I spend more to get it… I only drink one cup a day cause I like the taste. If I don’t have one of the 3 essential elements, I don’t drink it (French Roast, hazelnut creamer, and sugar)..
Luckily my work stocks the same kind I have at home (hmmm… wonder WHY I have it at home?)
Also, ugh, you have you realize, 101 to me is like 90 to you mid-westerners… It’s a dry heat.

hey now our high is supposed to hit almost 70!
and a 5:30 sunrise with an 8:30 sunset. MrUHG was so cute the other day … he JUST figured out that you can actually see/feel how much farther north we are because of the hours of daylight up here compared to what he is used to. I was like “Yup there is a difference. It isn’t like Sunrise/Sunset is all the same everywhere until you hit Alaska and then suddenly BOOM! Midnight Sun!”

Did you and Gwenn ever talk about what prompted her to finally contact you? Not that you should tell us why, just hoping you have had that discussion.
