Funny thing is that I just said about a week ago that someone would come here and spill the beans on the MT. I never imagined it would be someone whom I respect like claw71.
I may disagree with him on this subject, but I respect him nonetheless.
Can’t stand when folks accuse me of thinking I make the rules. All of the pages of tmhq are archived, just read them. Rules have always been made by consensus.
In fact when claw was called names I spoke against it arguing that he was not here to defend himself and was over-ruled and name-calling was allowed.

Sorry, CB but this isn’t a rational discussion.
I usually try to put myself in other people’s shoes but I don’t think people even have feet in this strange fantasy world you’re in right now.
I hate to offend somebody I’ve had such great banter with but I never would have guessed you’d draw such an arbitrary line.
And that’s all I have to say about that.

Yes, that’s what I was talking about, its sense of humor.
No, I was not on any high horse. We were discussing it.
Yes, you missed the election because you tore up the polls before a meeting of the minds was arrived at.
And let’s not miss-lay blame here. None of this would have happened had you restrained your impulses, claw.

Did I miss the election?
Just the other night you were lamenting how this site had lost something, you were right: its sense of humor.

And sometimes, claw, I think you vastly overestimate your powers of perception.
Just who did you think you were to decide matters for all?

Let’s say that I logged out and posted the TMHQ reference under some other name. What then?
And here’s the thing, the more you get your panites in a bunch over it the more people will think there’s some truth to what I posted out there?
I’m sorry that we differ on this subject, but I think you vastly overestimate the impact it will have. I think you vastly overestimate the impact a few jerks infiltrating the HQ will have.

I am going to say one last thing on this topic.
Talking in the TMHQ was like having a conversation in a crowded bar. You KNOW people are eavesdropping, but common courtesy says “Pretend you didn’t hear that.” Knowing that is very different from saying “HEY! Listen to THIS EVERYBODY”

i have a question for you, cb-
is it just personal stuff that you wish to not have repeated on the main? or is it anything that goes on here, like ongoing jokes, etc?
May 15, 2008 at 5:19 pm
Comment #50069
It wasn’t about the Flintstones reference. It was about not repeating tmhq on the main thread. As I said, it was not a deep personal thing, but it was a thing.
I really don’t reserve the right to determine what you feel is personal to you and I crossed no lines on the MT.
I brought my concerns over here where they belonged. Just like you…oh, wait…
May 15, 2008 at 5:16 pm
Comment #50068
I just don’t like too many rules. I love my man CB, but I think he was way out of line to have a beef with the Flintstones reference slipping out there. What happens in the HQ stays in the HQ? Says who?
And so what if some dick comes in and gets mean? Aren’t we adults? We seem to handle assholes on the main thread with great efficiency.
I won’t cross boundaries and poke at personal scars but you all need to keep the reality of this board in perspective when you get real in TMHQ. Literally hundreds of millions of people are watching…if they so desire.
I’m not deleting my posts. I think you guys are flattering yourselves a little in here…and I say that with all due respect.
Now can we get back to raunch and irreverence?

It’s not really hidden you know.
One by one they’ll be coming in and / or lurking
I’ve wondered how many people on the main lurk in here anyway…amazon does,
I’m sure quite a few do…
But I don’t like asswhipes coming in to stirr shit up.

besides if the moms and dads are anything like me (and they all are because they are my friends) they would be soppy little puddles every time the song played … not really what I was going for.
