I used to go for the window seat, but I also like to have access to the toilet (easy access!). And now that seats are often 3 across, I always ask for an aisle seat, especially as it’s often night, so I don’t get to see too much anyway, or I’m at one of those inbetween seats where you get a nice view of half a window.
I always want the window seat on the train, though.

yep, rose, the metro is a commuting train. hard back seats, standing room only affairs.
haven’t been on a travel train for a long time. the distance is too close to fly economically, and gasoline is a bit pricey and the drive would be as long as the ride
and yes, your powers of deduction have not failed you. i’m at the house today.

but, there is a difference between commuting trains and travel trains. I find trains easier to sleep on/in than buses or planes.

I know, Wade - the trouble is that it is a listening and speaking class, and 50% of her grade is speaking.
Our school takes a lot of kids who have been badly bullied or have some other kind of social problem, often cognitive. The shyness some of them have would go beyond chronic.
I did feel sorry for her, but she will fail if she can’t say a few things. It’s not much fun for her partner, either.

Friday was good - though I’m giving my really good kids stuff that is too hard for them and getting frustrated in the process
(them and me, naturally enough).
Chatted to a shy girl who can hardly get a word out (in a speaking class) - made her cry

The sun is setting about 7.30 now, so I went for a bike ride after work to the park near-ish by. It’s famous for its Irises, a few of which are blooming… and the azaleas peeking out from behind all the trees.
I won’t be surprised next year as one bloom seems to take over the previous.

Yep, my brother is here. He’s been here about a month or so. His wife and kids will come after school is out for the summer. I can’t wait! Wesey is real close to Sean, who is 2 years younger than him. And Savanna is the BOMB. She’s 6 and is full of personality and strength of self.
