But their planning a vacation soon and wanted someone to look after their house, my sister asked if we could help her out.

…..There is a little skylight hatch thingy above the main bed . You can open that and leave the door open a little and the breeze and smell of the river just blows through and you can see the stars too! It is cool. We have friends though that sold thier home and were going to sail around the world……..She did not like the ocean.

There is not going to be much salmon fishing this year it looks like they are going to not have a season.
I don’t know if we can get a vacation this year, Mr. is working 6 days a week and long hours with no one to replace him. So if he doesn’t work, no one does. Including the truckers.

You can cook your dinner and eat outside the cabin there is a removable table. Or have morning coffee as the sun rises. I do love it. Mr. likes to ocean sail , not on our boat but on larger boats. I won’t do the ocean!
We love to find islands to camp on too. They have islands that have so many deer on them it is unreal. They just come walking right through your camp. So cool.

I always wanted to do that…live in a boat, for some reason.
Don’t know why,
I never knew anyone who sailed a boat or anything, it just always seemed like it could be calm…depending on the weather…and just being able to listen to the waves against the boat…
Nice…
May 20, 2008 at 1:39 am
Comment #50948
Also you can sleep on a sailboat, if need be never be homeless!
Ours is only 24 foot and it has sink stove beds a table ect. Like a camp trailer kind of.
We bought it used and refurbished it. It was cost us less than a bike.
It tips and just bobs back up, we have only had that happen a couple times but….scared me!

how do they do that without tipping the boat over…?
Or falling out ?
May 20, 2008 at 1:34 am
Comment #50946
Really, Sailboats are more of a thrill. You can dip the sails in the water by leaning so far and they just pop back up! Hang on for dear life.
Thrilling to say the least. You can be calmly gliding one second and then the waves come up even in the river it can be rough like at Hood River on the Columbia where they sailboard and your just a slamming!
