Fantasy, if Gravatar let you choose an avatar and linked it next to your chosen e-mail address the avatar will show up eventually as long as you gave them the same e-mail that you used for PAN.
It does not happen right away.
Mine took under 10 minutes but others have waited hours.

She will be starting her new job on Aug 20. She’s staying at her old place till Aug 15, training her replacement and etc. I think she’s being too accommodating, but I’m not her.
The money will be slightly better (I think she’s getting a $5k raise), but she’s really switching for the esteem. And trust me, they’d better treat her better than at her old place. All indications are that they will.
Hey, we engineers have to have *some* non-nerdy interests! Of course, cats are also maybe a little nerdy…

Eh,
I’m okay.
It’ll probably all work out, I mean I just gott’a save up some money and so does she and maybe it’ll work out.
If I left there with her now I’d have no chance at work cause I’d have to have a doctors okay…with no doctor there cause I’d have no insurance there.
At least here I can go back to work next month sometime, per my Dr. and save up some money .
I’m still not sure about how it’s all going to work out but we call eachother and talk…so…

i don’t think so, fantasy. i know glo uses IE and she got it to work.
i’m just not sure how to clear the cache in IE without deleting all your cookies, passwords, etc. Firefox lets you do it fairly easily.
and it could be that it will pop up eventually. just make sure that the email you associated to your gravatar and the email you used to register with PAN are the same. otherwise it won’t make its way here.
i’ve got to deal with some irl for a while

all clearing your cache does is remove the temporary files that make loading pages from sites you visit faster (well, and it also has cookies and other stuff)

Ah, India’s not in the future, Fan. It was a possibility that flared again and fizzled. I should do more yoga and such. I went swimming this morning - that was great. The woman next to me was really fast. I’m usually faster than the women and most of the men, but I am not a great swimmer, just steady. It’s just that the Japanese don’t swim as much as the Aussies, it seems.
I’ve just bought a ticket for about $100 which gives you 5 days travel on the local trains. I’ll explore north a bit, maybe get to Hokkaido. It will be nice to set out - it stops me from being so introspective.
I’ll head home for a holiday late August.
Good luck with the op. It sounds good, and I’m glad you got a doctor who finally made sense. I guess it is your chance to change your life if you want to, fan.

I hope you are not being too hard on your back Rose? I know that your back can hurt worse than I ever thought possible!
I have just been dreaming about how nice it will be when this back problem gets over, this surgery is rated very high for great success, so I have some big plans. I want to run my next marathon in 2010. That will give me plenty of time to heal and train.
I am also wondering if I should take my old job back or try something new? The Dr. said I will be just like before if everything goes well.
What is in your future besides possibly India?

my name was slightly different, in that gravatar website doesn’t allow for spaces in the name - but my name remains the same as it ever was here, so I don’t think it will be an issue, but I believe it took some time for the others. I didn’t know anyone was here, I am glad to see you and Troy. It is 4:00 a.m. here on Sunday morning, I guess I have a bit of insomnia. We took a ride up to see Mt. St. Helens today, I wanted to get some pictures. It was too cloudy and the Mt. was a no show! So we spent the evening in the casino, gambling! Came out ahead.
So ended up being a nice day. We got home about an hour ago, so I guess we stayed out almost all night. Had a blast though. 
Now my back is paying the price a bit, but I have nothing to do but wait now until I can get back to my old self!
How are you today? Is it Monday afternoon there? I can never keep track.
I know I sure would love to go travel the world with you, but I am too chicken, I just think BIG!

Troy, you made a very good point on the main regarding GWB. Zb, I also agree with you. I could have been third or fourth commenter (came in when there was only one comment), but didn’t feel comfortable commenting, least of which is, I’m sure serial killers have access to the internet, TMHQ, and so on (so I shouldn’t comment here, either, following that same logic - though maybe that makes me a ‘fifteen minuter’ too).
Also, this one in particular seemed to be after the fame. Two people were wrongly convicted for one of his crimes, and he confessed either because of guilty conscience, he wanted the fame, or…? Depending upon which net article you read.
It does make me uneasy - but oh well.

Just an honest difference of sensibilities.
I’m not bothered by the note written by the serial killer because he did not mock his victims. What he did was make fun of people who think they were potential victims, basically saying, “How pathetic do you have to be to need to convince yourself that you cheated death? The fact is that even serial killers don’t kill everyone they come across (see the lady I walked to her car in the 1980’s and 1990’s).”
If you get past the fact that the guy is a monster, it’s really pretty funny commentary about some people’s need for their 15 minutes of fame, if only in there own minds.
I do, however, respect your point of view. I just don’t happen to share it.

no, i learned my lesson.
at least we only had neighbs on one side this time. of course, the neighbs were a couple in their 70s or 80s. i met them in the elevator that evening.
