I had a dream that my ex and I were on a trip. She was pulling her usual shenanigans disappearing for periods of time and then when I went back to our room her suitcase was gone with her stuff. Well not everything, there was stupid souvenir shit she had bought laying around the room.

Hi . . . the usual drive-by. I’m with Timo on James Taylor, though I like Fire and Rain a lot, and I can see how he soothes if you are feeling stressed. Really like Carol King, though. You know, the box with my most important stuff, Shaun Tan books (you remember, beans?), my favourite artist, Kyosuke Chinai, CDs and so on came over with about 14 books instead of 80 and weighed about 8 pounds instead of 18 kilograms. *Sigh*. I know it is the one that the woman in the Japanese post office refused to tape for me. It looked as if it was taped, as it was an older box, but it wasn’t. My language wasn’t good enough, and there was a queue, and she was being a bitch. It’s kind of handy. Anything I have ever lost in my life now can be attributed to that one box which turned up with someone else’s reading tastes. :)

Oh, and Dennis Hopper died the other day.

I’m a James Taylor fan as well. When my oldest was an infant and had colic, he would stop crying when he heard Copperline. I’m pretty sure I owe my sanity to JT for that.

Yesterday was just yucky. It’s just an unpleasant environment. I’m glad to be home. I didn’t sleep last night… I suppose between the craptastic day and the burn on my arm I just couldn’t stay asleep. So I’m sleep-working today.

We spent the day moving. It rained in the morning as boxes were being taken to the truck (I was upstairs, packing -heh). It brightened up in the afternoon when there weren’t such heavy boxes to take to the truck. Came home. Rearranged some things, then took the dog for a walk. Snuck onto the golf course. It was about 9.30, so it was okay. He ran like a crazy thing. He loves open spaces. And thank you, WotV and glo, he is cute. CB, I’m glad your mum and girl get on, and WotV, well, at least blood wasn’t spilt. I’m kind of pleased, often, that my siblings don’t live all that close ;) They are nice, though.

they are calling for thunderstorms but they’ve been calling for those since thursday and there has not been ome cloud in the bleeding blue sky since then.
oh, i lied. there’s one wispy one over there. it doesn’t appear to have the capacity to soak us.

noww, i actually love this weather, but the business of my work is directly proportional to the hotness of the weather, my boss refuses to schedule extra (read: enough) staff so she can keep her bottom line bedrock low, and, even when the air conditioning is working (it leaks into the dining room, and instead of fixing it they just turn it off. because people like to eat in a gagillion degree weather) i work in between 6 coffee burners, two waffle irons, a toaster, a grill and an espresso bar.

    IT’S ALWAYS HOT.

also, i hate my boss, but i love you all!

I’m sure you will make the most out of it, regardless. Be sure to regale us with funny stories, too, please.

My family (5) plus my son’s girlfriend and a kid who calls me his “Other Mother”, my sister with her hubby, 3 kids and their 4 kids and significant others as well as my sister’s in-laws… Um… too many, I guess. I bought plastic appletini glasses and the fixins for them…

Ha! Nearly forgot my mother. Damn, I wish I could forget her!

If they are dysfunctional, I would fit right in, lol. How big will this picnic be? Those baked beans sound nom-a-licious.

I wish you could! My family is completely dysfunctional. I plan to drink vodka and laugh at them, because I am NOT putting on a bathing suit. Too many “extra” people there.

I’m making my famous “diabetic coma baked beans” with BBQ sauce and brown sugar and BACON! Yum!

Good morning, ladies. WotV, whenever the boys were around Glo, tongues just seemed to pop out. You have to look out for Glo. She’s a stealthy sex kitten.

Sorry I disappeared, Wade. I was exhausted. The subject matter and sheer volume that the client wants is intimidating. Every time I send something, I get notes back reminding me to put the focus on foreplay (I am leading up to it with explanations of why it’s necessary) and to make it “spicy”. I told him that I have no issue with spicy, but I will only write porn for my cifs.

Glo, thanks for the Timo tongue research. I am now even more jealous of the action my cutout saw in Seattle.

On the subject of Timo’s tongue, it didn’t take any of my skin off, but if he had kept licking me, something else might have come off.

On the subject of foreplay, the sexiest thing anyone did for me what go outside and get my knitting for me out of my car. What can I say? It had been a long time since anyone did anything nice like that for me. On the more traditional side, I can never have too much attention paid to my neck.

On the subject of braless hugs, here’s a double: giving and receiving (I can only assume): (((((((((((((Wade))))))))))))))))

I don’t know if taking this ebook job was a good idea, but I’m taking it one day at a time. The other job is much better.

Gotta go catch some sleep. I’m beat.
